Enes Kanter for Otto Porter: A Wizards Fan's Perspective

For all of those that have short memory, Kanter could not train for two off-seasons in a row! So he could not work out to improve his game and he had to join directly the training camp and face an intense Nba season!

Yeah like all those years he showed up to SL extremely overweight (cuz he knew as a 1st round pick he would get his minutes to play, so no pressure to come and fight for respect)?
All those years? I only remember him being big during his rookie year. And used that weight very effectively. And I think that was the lockout year which came right after he was not allowed to play college ball. (I may be wrong about this)

Then his second year we saw all those workout pics of him shirtless and busting his ***. Started that season in phenomenal shape

The 2nd year was the year he came back from Turkey and had gained like 40 lbs in a month (not actual numbers, but I remember the dudes on NBATV cracking jokes about it during the entire summer league).

I think kanter is a hard worker. You don't. That's ok.

I think he is a moderate worker.

I think he is a selfish offensive player who is lazy on defense and has naturally low basketball IQ.

I wish him the best on some other team cuz I need his stats for my fantasy team, especially now that Larry Sanders has decided to quit basketball.

*Let that sink in, I think Kanter sucks and I'm economically invested in his individual success*

LOL, Cy keeps talking about Kanter's passing. Everyone has already conceded that, he knows he needs to get better, and he's said he wants to get better at it. Until he came to the NBA where he had absolutley zero reason to pass. The academy high school team wasn't exactly high qaulity basketball. You are seriously nit-picking because you already made your mind up about him. He's learned a lot of other things since coming to the league, and with him being 22, I don't see why he won't learn how to pass. His team defense is worlds away from where it was last year. His footwork has improved. He added a 3 pt shot. He no longer pump fakes like he's doing 30 ab crunches when he's in the paint. He no longer brings the ball down on offensive rebounds. He's improved his dribbling to have a drive game now. Etc. you can't expect it al at once.

Saying he doesn't work hard is bananas. When we got him, he was essentially just a ball of talent, no skill. Now he has a lot of skills. He transformed his body with the seafood diet, and then this year, in season, he has lost a lot of weight to more mobile, after sitting out two offseasons in a row due to injuries. Wake up.

And acting like 3 asts in college is amazing for Porter is simply hillaruous. That's an average stat.

What is even funnier is that it isn't even true! His career average was 2.1. His senior season, in 35 mins per game, he got 2.7, close, but still... It is 2.7. Weak. His college career ast% was 14.9%. Alec, who had a score-first mentality and is by far the better prospect, had a college career ast% of 17.0. You want Porter more than Alec? This isn't just a Kanter v Porter thing, but a Porter v Burks debate. Don't even go there.

Actually you would be moving Hayward out of position to accommodate Porter. . .

His senior season? You are ****ing dumb as ****.

Hate dumb posters like SF who can't even get facts straight.

OTTO PORTER WAS IN COLLEGE FOR TWO YEARS.

Word. That as well, but I think Cy envisions Burks would be the one losing his starting spot, unless Cy is suggesting we trade Enes for someone who projects to be a backup. There is no universe where Hayward doesn't start.

No it isn't. Burks can play 30+ MPG even with Porter. You dumb idiot.

3 assist per game in college is very good.

If you werent aware, college games last 40 minutes and feature much slower pace with much less talented scorers/shooters, making assist very hard to come by. You obviously don't watch college basketball, or know anything about basketball in general.

That's actually pretty intersting considering Cy wasn't always happy with Alecs passing/playmaking...

And yes, I'm saying Burks shouldn't be a starter. We need someone who can play above average perimeter defense in our starting 5.

He has had trouble making plays for others while attacking the basket, he got better at is this year, but he was not very good at his drive/kick or drive/dish game.

It's dumb as **** to compare 1 simple stat of two very different college systems to compare players, further showing SF doesn't know **** about college basketball or basketball in general.
