-nazr mohamed played against kanter one-on-one, and the teammates said, he dominated him. nazr is quite a solid defensive big.

-patrick patterson played against kanter and said, he would be on the same level as demarcus cousins.

-all his teammates talk that they can't guard him and that is also realy difficult to score against him. this means, he can't be that bad of a defender.

-harellson said that a mix of the three other best bigs in the ncaa produces an enes kanter. he would be agile and quick, he can score from inside-out and that he is strong and though. he said, he never has to play against a player of kanter's caliber in the ncaa and that he would pick him as the first pick most likely.

-if he played this year, he would be the obvious first pick in this draft!

-this guy is still 18 years old and his realistic case is a 19-9 player with an slightly above average defense. but the sky is still the limit. he has the body, the skillset, the work-ethic and the fundamentals along with his iq which realy make it almost impossible for him to not become one of the best big men in the league. players like him don't come along very often. worst case is an 15-8 player and the best case is a 23 - 12 player.

I am under impression that you are being paid as Kanter's social media manager.

you can also get the links. i'm just a jazz fan and i really like kanter and hope we can get him. i really hoped so much that we would become a top three pick in the lottery and thanks god, it happened.

if you guys look at what the team needs, a point guard or a wing might be smarter to take, but you have to take the best player available. later, you can trade harris, millsap for a player we need. this makes more sense, period!

I have to say I kinda like both Kanter and Valuncias. Valuncias is more of a true center, and a good pairing with Favors. Kanter is more of a pure scorer and intrigues me quite a bit.

I feel like at three, Knight is a reach and definitely NOT BPA.

Looks like an allstar when no one is guarding him.

I'm waiting to see how things turn out at the combine.

I guess his 34 points (breaking Dirk's game record) and 13 rebounds in just 24 minutes against the likes of Jared Sullinger, Terrence Jones, Harrison Barnes, Irving, Knight, and every other stud in the Nike Hoops Summit game means nothing?

Let me repeat that. 34 points (on 13 of 21 from the floor) on a variety of low-post moves, put-backs and mid-range shots along with 13 rebounds IN JUST 24 MINUTES. Those numbers are insane. What's most impressive is his shooting form which is as good as many guards in the NBA. If the guy was getting by on size alone, I'd be concerned. But he is VERY young and VERY intelligent (learned great English in less than two years supposedly) and VERY passionate about the game and works VERY hard.

A lot of guys have size or athleticism or skill or all three but no drive or passion (see AK). He has it all. His athleticism is nothing special but it's certainly not bad and it could improve but with better conditioning and a strong work ethic, I don't see why that couldn't happen.

Note: He also had 21 points and 17 rebounds in his USA debut in the Jordan Brand Classic.

I say Kanter. You won't get another Kanter type player later in draft.
You might get a Knight type player later though.
Kanter could be the #1 pick this year.
No one would take Knight first.

Great! But that was over a year ago. All of your cited players played and developed while Kanter practiced.

Again, waiting until after the combine.

Kanter has sat for a year.
Not entirely bad.
No wear and tear on body.
Time to get knee healed if bad.

so, after one year, he became garbage, just because he didn't play? maybe he improved? he also had eight offensive rebounds and hit 8 from 9 from the free throw line. he should be 6-11 with shoes, 255-260 lbs (he lost some weight, but wants to play around 260-270 in the nba), 7-2 wingspan and a 9-1 standing reach. those are like the numbers i expect.

He's been practicing, first with the team, then with an assistant coach, where I would argue he had more one-on-one attention to aide in his development.

May there be a one or two month learning curve, getting back into the groove of playing full-court games again? Sure but he's not going to just forget how to play and compete. And we're not worried about his first one or two months. We're sort of rebuilding and looking at the future and his future has waaaaaaay more of an upside than Knight who's shown very little in true point guard skills imo.

Game time develops players more than practice ever can.

My point is not that he turns to garbage, but he might not look as good against those same players, because they got court time development, and he practiced.

Knight is a reach @3. Let's be honest.
I love Knight, but we MUST go Kanter here unless he looks horrible in the combine/workouts (but we all know this won't happen).

Kanter is basically a Jazzman. I'm excited!

Now who do we take @12? So many choices there.

A fair assessment. But we need to go Kanter here. He's big, skilled and fairly athletic. And one rule of drafting is never reach. Or almost never. And Knight is definitely a reach at #3. IMO.

i would go for both. Knight is good but, he isnt a guy who can be an elite guard like deron, rose.. i think he is one level behind irving, thats why he may eventually fall down to 7 -8 and i think its not impossible for us to use our 12th pick and some guys to trade to get knight. I would take enes for sure at 3. Knight isnt a 3rd pick worth guy. But in this draft i would go for both

If you are talking about him at KU. Kanter didn't practice with the team. He helped the team practice. Huge difference. He was basically an assistant. I highly doubt he was part of practice in terms of actual game time situation practicing.

False. He did practice with the team until the NCAA said he couldn't and then he had one-on-one practices with an assistant coach.

This is a very legit question that cant be answered yet. After the combine and team work outs then I think I might know. Right now my gut says Knight for some reason. I think Knight could really be a player that could be huge in our rebuilding process. But if Kanter has an even half way decent combine and Checks out on the Physical then I would have to change my vote to him.

I would not be upset with drafting Kanter and if Knight slips to Washington at #6 and they're interested in Kanter, trading picks/players and picking up a pick or picks in the process. It would be extremely UNLIKELY that Cleveland would take Knight at #4 if they go with Irving at #1 so a ton would depend on Toronto at #5 but they seem to have bigger needs than at the point and also have a love for international players so if they went with Vesely or Biyombo or one of those other Euro scrubs there, it wouldn't shock me. Given that Washington has Wall and they may want a big, they be up for swapping and handing us a future 1st rounder and/or the 18th pick in the draft this year.

A draft of Knight at 6, Burks or Biyombo at 12, and Singleton at 18. A ton would have to happen but that draft would be sick.
