Enes Kanter - out of shape or not?

Looks like he has put on around 20-30 lbs due to his injury.

Especially big guys put on a lot of weight if they aren't 100 percent and can't really work out.

Still impressive if you look at how ripped his arms are despite the fact that he couldn't really lift much weight.

An other summer but the same sea-food and salad diet for Enes?

Am I wrong that he was slimmer? Maybe he had to add some weight for his future position (Center)? I still think it's Favors position, especially on the defensive end.

Has Kanter become bigger or not?

Just wait till he starts working with Malone, plus don't forget he's a hard worker in his own right.

I know his motor and incredible work ethic. I just think that he had bad luck with the injury. He has to lose a big amount of weight again and within a very, very short period of time which is simply unhealthy.

He seems to have a body that can add much weight. He also can lose it very fast. I think he gets too comfortable with it. I think you should try to keep your weight. I know, it's difficult if you have an injury but still, you should be more careful.

Thanks Mrs. Kanter. We'll keep an eye on him.

I think Kanter is the real deal and I think Kanter knows he can be the real deal and maybe a superstar depending on how much work he puts into it. He ain't Fess, he's like Fess but with intelligence and determination, imho.

I don't think he needs to be babied, I think he'll take care of his business.

Yeah, but boy he's had some bad luck though hasn't he??? First not being to play for UK, then the lockout (no Summer League), now this stupid injury? (he didn't need to dive on that ball).

He needs to play hard, but also play smart. If it's just 1 meaningless lose ball, just let it go bro. Play hard on the next point.

It is ridiculously easy for these guys to put on weight when they get injured. The high-level aerobic activity stops quickly, but it is much harder to put a brake on the caloric intake. He will be fine once he really gets into the workouts.

Didn't Kanter lose 50 pounds after his rookie year? That still puts him 20-30 pounds lighter than when Utah first drafted him.

I thought he was too light last year anyway. Get his aerobics going and he'll be right where he should be.

Kanter looks fine to me. Sometimes I think certain Jazz fans just like to worry and make up things to worry about. Kanter will be ready for camp and that is all that matters.

The dude literally has hundreds of millions of dollars riding on him being successful.

In other words, he cares more than you and I do.

Getting injured will likely help our chances at landing Wiggins. he will need some time to get back to where he was.

When I get a second, I'd like to go through the archives of Jazzfanz and compile "The Best Of Off-Season Player Weight Discussions"

It will probably be very boring.
