Yea because there are some many 6' 11" guys in the NCAA. How many guys from the NCAA make it in the NBA? So the ones that do are they also playing inferior competition in college. The NCAA is water down basketball too so should Knight's stats count.
Guys he dominated his age group. Yes it isn't American basketball but when he went up against Americans his own age he dominated them. So if you are going to discount his achievements then you have to discount all the NCAA guys too. The reality is draft is all quess work. No one knows who is going to be great in the NBA especially in this draft were there are few sure things.
By those stats Kanter is better and right now he is the best player available who knows which player will be better in three years.
So this proves that Kanter is better at dominating weak competition. Now what?

Well I guess that's better than not dominating. He also dominated at the Nike Hoop Summit. I guess you want him to dominate his age group. I don't know if this means anything. This guy is a mystery to me.
NCAA is inferior talent than the NBA. No one can argue that. But the NCAA is still a better talent pool than what these guys are playing against. That's why you'll see 50 out the 60 guys drafted coming from the NCAA.
Knight seems like a lower risk pick but possibly a lower reward.
Yeah I agree. He dominated. Great. So did Darko and other Euro busts. Could he good? Maybe. I don't know. Knight seems like a lower risk pick but possibly a lower reward.
Picking Knight is so vanilla. Give me higher risk, higher reward.
If we bust what are we out? a not elite PG. oh wait, we already have one of those.
Knight was a two time Gatorade player of the year, not that vanilla.

That's a good point. Knight had a more successful HS seasons than Kanter, and was considered a far better prospect. Now a year later, when he led his team to #3 ranking as a freshman, put up good numbers, while Kanter lost a year of development and couldn't even practice with the team this year, it is Kanter who is exciting pick, and Knight is "vanilla"... I don't think this makes too much sense.

And yet Calipari would still take Kanter over Knight. Interesting.
