even if he had jeff sap & fave?
Once again, the argument goes both ways ... had Kanter played, he could be coming into this draft around #25 .. or could have been the consensus #1 pick. Just no way of knowing.
Yeah, but our pick is a lot closer to #1 than it is to #25, and as a matter of fact Kanter DID NOT play. Did not even practice this year, and most certainly lost a lot of development opportunities, which are critical at such young age.
Who's to say that the year off wasn't good for him? Obviously it absolutely destroys everyone's ability to evaluate him, but for all we know it could end up being a blessing in disguise. Who knows? The guy got to train for months with MJ's old trainer while the majority of guys getting drafted were playing against mediocre NCAA talent, and the consensus #1 pick was apparently sitting on the bench pounding the cupcakes and twinkies. That year off didn't really hurt Griffin. I think he developed just fine.

calipari said he would pick kanter 1st. I dont think he is a very good coach, or i dont know how much reputation he has as being a good coach, but why would he support a guy so much even though he didnt play whole year? He had worked with him whole year, and i think he gotta know something better than us.
