Enes Kanter's Summer

i Hope enes plays for Turkey in the olympics because That will be much better competition than the summer league I think because Hell be going against the Worlds best players I think. Or maybe he can get More outta dominating The summer league and be More confident when the Season comes around. I dunno I think he is gonna be Sick

Turkey didn't qualify for the Olympics

I like him getting all the experience he can get .. especially if we have Al on the roster all next year. If we somehow got rid of Al, I'd want Enes to play a bit less off-season ball to maintain some freshness in his legs.

At this point in his career, freshness of legs is the least of his concerns. We're talking about a bona fide NBA player that has probably played less basketball than any other player in the NBA. Any minute of halfway real basketball he can get, he should play.

Further Info...

The team gather on 8th July and the next day will go to Italy for camp. I dont know what that means for Kanter, whether he will stay for Orlando Pro Summer League or come to the NT. In Italy there will be only condition training till 21st July. So I think Enes has the luxury to play summer league and then join to the NT.

Between 23rd and 27th July we'll play prep games against Bulgaria, Poland and Ukraine. Then after 2nd August, there are Germany, Finland and Iran prep games. Then after 7th August, Serbia, Hungary and Slovenia games will be played. As the last prep tournament we'll play against Germany, Finland and Poland once again on 11-12-13 of August.

And finally, games of the Qualification Tournament for Eurobasket 2013 will be played.

18 August: Türkiye-Belarus
21 August: Italy-Türkiye
24 August: Türkiye-Portugal
27 August: Chzech Republic-Türkiye
2 September: Belarus-Türkiye
5 September: Türkiye-Italy
8 September: Portugal-Türkiye
11 September: Türkiye-Chzech Republic

This all makes (12 preparation and 8 tournament games) total of 20 games. I think it will be very good for our big boy Enes Kanter.

Please let me know if there are any prep games in Germany. I missed the one last year where they played in Bamberg. Thats only 90 mins away. I was bummed they were so close, and I didn't go.

I hear ya, and I'm conflicted on it really. If he did a shot at 30/game for the Jazz next year, I would just like to see him be somewhat fresh. I could be easily persuaded, though, for him to simply get the most court time he can, regardless .. and let the chips fall.

he needs to consistently achieve a productive 20 min/game before he sees anything like 30. But, even getting him twenty minutes requires a trade................

Agreed. Evidenced by my post about 5 back regarding Al.

The last prep tournament(Super Cup) will be in Germany though I don't know which city will host it this time. Germany, Turkey, Finland and Poland will participate. 11-12-13 August. I hope you will go. I will try to go to Adidas Istanbul Cup which is before the Super Cup.

Except USA, Brazil is the best team, IMO. They beat Greece already this month.

Huertas (Barcelona) / Larry Taylor (Bauru) / Raul (Lagun Spain)
Barbosa (Pacers), Alex Garcia (Brasília)
Marquinhos (Flamengo), Marcelinho Machado (Flamengo), Guilherme Giovanonni (Brasília)
Varejão (Cavs), Splitter (Spurs)
Nenê (Wizards), Caio Torres (Flamengo)

how can I see which countrys made The olympics besides USA?

Argentina and Spain will try to beat USA as usual. Russia and Greece will surely qualify and they can make surprises. Lithuania also can make some noise if they can qualify. Brazil should be stronger this year but I don't expect much from them. And there is France of course.

So it will be between;

USA
Argentina
Spain
Greece
Russia
Brazil
France
Lithuania

China, Tunisia, GB, Australia basically don't have any chances against aforementioned teams.

It's in Bamberg again. 11-12 August, just two games per team, four games total. Some site says the tickets are 15 euro per day. Enjoy the games if you go.
