What's new

Enough of this speculation!

Marcus Smart is a head case and I want no part of a top 5 pick being a head case, smells like DeMarcus Cousins a little and a little Ron Artest. When Dennis Lindsey and Walt Perrin talk about franchise type players, Marcus Smart, doesn't come to mind, and that's who they want to draft, a franchise type player, my bet is one of those teams at 2 or 3 will want to shed a bad contract, fleece the Jazz for all their good draft picks, and I imagine a youngster or two from this roster, but it's the price they're willing to pay because they want a franchise type player like a Andrew Wiggins or Jabari Parker. It's the reason we have been in assets accumulation mode since the moment we did not re-sign Millsap or Big Al, for this very moment, and it will pay off, we moved up 3 spots in the very deep DWill draft and we will do it again with a lot more assets.

Wait, we need another PG?

smart ain't PG for us. he will play 2, will be our joe dumars

it's not like trey hogs the ball anyway. he will be just fine as playing 2. my beef is that we would have the smallest backcourt which concerns me. smart is wide as hell and built like pitbull, so he will be fine, but as a unit, you still want some length and height on your backcourt.

just shut the f... off, i do not have to agree with what u sayin

i think you don't have quite the grasp of the English language that is necessary to effectively communicate your view.

unlike u, it seems he can defend multiply positions with his really good lateral quickness. He's gonna break the screens while defending PnR

You're comparing me, a fan, who sits at a desk all day, to a college basketball star, and using the difference in our abilities to guard a pick and roll as evidence of a players "speed".
I had a legitimate question, of which I didn't know the answer.
It may be the language barrier, but you just come off as a douche trying to make a point with no merit.

I do not understand which point u did not get. To me his lateral quickness is enough to cover most of SGs and PGs. Also, he's got quick hands and like his surname, smart enough to make good positional defense. I also believe he can be more effective with a pure PG. Burke PG, Smart as a combo guard ( Back up PG, SG or starter as SG), Hayward SF. Good choice for the 5th.

Unlike you mean; opposite of your view. I do not compare your PnR defense with his lol!

Smart is a nice piece, but I don't see us getting anywhere in the playoffs with him.

Burke - FA/DRAFT PICK SHOOTER - Parker - Kanter - Favors

or

Burke - Smart - Hayward - Kanter - Favors

which do you want to go forward with?

As i already told, i wanna see what youngsters can succeed with a real coach. So it will be easy to decide about Kanter, Burke and see improvement of Smart and Hayward. This line up play uptempo, lots of fast breakpoints, more PnR with Favors and more PnP with Kanter due to his better shooting. Hayward will be shooting spot up jumpers, Smart's aggressive defense help big men too. If we can not see what we hope, let Kanter leave or trade him in february, same goes for Burke and decide about Burks. We got advantage of cap space and have chance to trade one of youngsters. But iam really optimistic about the performance of youngsters this year.
More experience, better coaching, good offseason. Also, there will be some psycological reasons too. New coach, Kanter's and Burks' contract year, Favors' 1st 12 mil year and if Hayward stays his 1st big money year. They will concentrate more and making executions to make it.

There you go. If we don't get wiggins, get smart and he'll never score. Problem solved.
