Eric Griffin Agrees to 2-Way Deal with Jazz

Where did you see that?

Also, what kind of taxes do these dudes have to pay when they play in Europe? Don't you have to pay taxes to the USA and Italy when you are on a work visa?

No USA taxes long as you reside here for a certain number of days or less do not remember but like 60 days or something. Kind of like summer vacation type of family visit think.

I'm excited. Happy that he stuck with the Jazz over a different team. I really like his game.

So here's where we stand I think..

Opening day roster/rotation
Starters
C- Gobert
PF- Favors
SF- Ingles
SG- Hood
PG- Rubio

Bench
C- Udoh
PF- Joe Jesus
SF- Sefolosha
SG- Mitchell
PG- Exum
11- Jerebko
12- Burks

Reserves
13- Bradley (guaranteed contract)
14- O'neale (guaranteed contract)
15- Neto or Bolomboy (Neto non guaranteed, Bolomboy not fully guaranteed)

Two Way contracts
16- Griffin
17- In all likelihood Nigel Williams Goss

Neto will almost certainly be kept. Either Bolomboy is getting cut or a trade is coming.

I'll still be surprised if they give NWG a 2-way.

Thank you.

Hood was only good in a small lineup an having a facilitator or scoring 4 in Diaw or Johnson. He sucked as a starter next to Favors when he had to be one of the playmakers. So did Hill an Hayward the Jazz preferred starting lineup of Gobert Favors Hayward Hood Hill stunk balls.

Cheers to hoping internal improvements an a true point guard can make things work but I gots no hope for Favors an Hood playin with Gobert Ingles Ricky. I'd rather see Joe start an Burks or Donovan in there.

Sad to see Burks so far down the bench

Good get. Surprised he couldn't do better... excited for this guy.

Good signing. Makes perfect sense. Now if we can get NWG on the other one, we'd be set.

When you get excited over a signing like this, you know things are slow. Haha, this guys isn't even going to play, don't get why everyone is so excited about this.

I watched the summer league. Griffin played really well both offensively and defensively. He'll get minutes.

Well he is going to play 100% in the D-league unless there are a lot of injuries and he has to get called up to play in NBA games. I'm sure they will call him up during the season to practice w/ the team to get the 45 days so he can get the maximum pay for the year, but I will be surprised if he ever gets into actual games.

My best guess for the Jazz's vision with Griffin:

They hope he balls out this year for the Stars and refines his game. They go into 2018 they will lose Derrick Favors (if not traded by then) and could lose Joe Johnson. I'm guessing they will look for a starting PF in FA, but if they can't find anyone good enough at the right price, they will just go into 18-19 w/ Jerebko and Griffin (and maybe someone else they bring in) to battle for the starting 4 spot.
