ESPN NBA Draft Lottery Game Is Out!!!!!

No, I don't believe so. Not only I spent more calories typing the post but I also probably made some of you think about how short and pointless your life is.

Disagree. Your post only made me think about your hypocrisy. Anyways, I was comparing the Jazz's percentage chance for winning the lottery with the amount of times we won it out of 10. Brain workouts are far better for one's health than typing 31 words of judgement on the JazzFanz forum.

Played it a bunch of times and it looks like Ford has the Jazz liking the following players in this order:

1. Jabari Parker
2. Andrew Wiggins
3. Joel Embiid
4. Dante Exum
5. Julius Randle
6. Marcus Smart

Just got the #1 pick twice in a row. They have us taking Parker, but I'm still a firm believer that this is the Wiggins sweepstakes.

After about 10 tries, Jazz got Jabari with a 15,6% chance to win. Most of the time the Jazz were top 5 pick. But the game looked to be considering the Jazz unlikely to get the 1st, and pretty likely to get 2-3-4th.

Really? greg should send me as a good luck piece in May. i got the #1 pick 7/10 then the #3 twice and #5 once. It was Parker with all the #1's, Embiid w/ #3's, and exum w/ the #5.

wiggins has shown me enough to be scared of his serious bust potential. Unless he grows some balls/ killer instincts quickly, i want nothing to do with him.

Embiid is the guy moving up in the draft right now. I actually wouldn't be surprised if one of the big men turn out to be the best players. Jabari and Wiggins aren't as good as advertised. I'm starting to think getting #1 pick isn't the biggest deal in the world.

I was waiting for that day since the beginning of the season that people will start to realize some obvious facts, breaking through the blinding light of the sex appeal of this draft class. I'm so happy you guys stated those thoughts.

I just played it 25 times. Top three pick 8 times, #1 pick only three times.
Consensus seems to be that if both Wiggins and Parker are available, Jazz take Parker.

I played it a bunch of times and and got the #1 about 20% of the time. Lots of 2-4 as well.

To me it seems that it is determining who is first between Wiggins and Parker based on who has the #1.

I tried it about 10 times and I got The Jazz #1 four times.

I think I need to represent The Jazz on lottery night.

Yes, that's the way the draft lottery game works. Hollinger (I think) talks to the teams to get a sense of their current draft board. Then when that team picks in the simulation, they take the next person available on their own board. That's what I personally find most interesting about the game--by playing it over and over (like people have done here) you can really get a sense of what your specific team's draft board looks like at this time.

I just wish it wasnt such a huge waste of my life that literally anything else I was doing would be a better use of my time. Why do I have to find interesting all the worst possible things?

So it looks like (according to this thing) that the Jazz big board is:

1. Parker
2. Wiggins
3. Embiid
4. Exum
5. Randle

FWIW
