Free agent big man Etan Thomas is close to signing a one-year deal with the Atlanta Hawks, one source told HoopsHype.com.

The outspoken nine-year veteran averaged 3.3 ppg and 2.8 rpg in limited playing time with the Oklahoma City Thunder last season.
