If I'm understanding the tie-breakers correctly... If Denmark beats Germany, and Portugal beats the Netherlands... Is Germany out?

They would all have six points. Goal differential between the three teams, at best, for Germany is level. However, Portugal and Denmark would have scored more goals.

Oh yes, my bad, actually it's stupid turkish announcer of the game, he said that Germany now is in the final eight and I didn't think about it.

Understandable... The announcer probably assumed that there was no way Germany will lose to Denmark. Everyone is underestimating the Danish. Denmark is the underdog that nobody should want a part of.

He basically stormed around the field after he was subbed out and wouldn't shake his teammates hand...

Hmm, I see, yes it's not graceful, at all.

However I would've kept him until the end of the game, yes he wasn't playing well, but he's a type of player who can do anything anytime and win the game for his team. Netherlands' coach should've played Kuyt earlier and taken out another player instead of Robben, Kuyt is also a creative player but Robben and Kuyt would be more effective together.

@dalamon, are you watching the games man? Why don't you post here? It's your thread after all.

Two games of tomorrow are; Italy-Crotia and Spain-Ireland Rep.

My guesses are:

Italy - Crotia ---> 1-2

Spain - Ireland Rep. ---> 3-1

Who do you think they should have pulled Afellay? (Note: I had to look up this dudes name. I just knew that there was absolutely no way the Dutch were gonna pull Sneijder or Van Persie.

Also, Robben has had more then a bad game. He's had a bad couple months.

My apologies. My Lab final (worth 15% of my course mark) is tomorrow, and my course final (worth 45% of my mark) is on Friday. This is for an Inorganic Chem course that I needed to take this spring, in order to fill up pre-reqs for a physiology course Ill be starting this September.

FWIW, I have caught nearly every game. Germany looks good, but not AS good as I thought they would. I am having a very difficult time picking out a favourite for this tourney; at this stage of the game, no team seems like a clear-cut favourite. Spain struggled against Italy, France struggled against England, Germany could face a heated match from Denmark, and Portugal hasn't looked to fine either. Germany will probably come out of the group stages with the most points, and be the cup-favourites as a result, but something just doesn't seem right about them. I can't see them winning, just a hunch of mine that I'm pulling out of my ***, really.

Lets hope France doesn't lay another egg. Ill be pulling for Denmark next game as well.

PS: The Dutch LB (Willems (sp.)?) is absolute garbage, and a disgrace of professional football. The man cannot play. The Kwame Brown of European Football.

Of course you play Sneijder and Van Persie to the end of the game, but he could have pulled Afellay or some other middlefielder or even a player from the defensive line. At the end you are losing and it most likely means you're out of the tourney, so you should take risks and attack, Netherlands didn't have any backup plan and the coach reacted too late, there wasn't any single reserve player who is warming up until 75th minutes, that is ridiculous.

I can't argue with this... The Netherlands should have gone in full attack mode.

OK, doc, I'm feeling sorry for you, I cleared all my exams a week ago and finished my last project yesterday, this week I'm going my hometown for a lovely summer, Hehe :p

Germans' problem to me is, they probably can't play against a well passing team with a high tempo, they are safe when they control the game but I don't see their defense as reliable much, i.e. against a well playing Spain.

I'm not sold on Germany. I still have nightmares of the Spanish midfield. They just don't make mistakes, or at last the last two tournaments they haven't.

Spain is the champion, and I believe the favorite, until someone dethrones them. I expect them to clinically destroy Ireland tomorrow, and then everyone will remember that Spain is legit.

So let's go on with full group stage... My guesses:

14th June
Italy Crotia -----> 1-2
Spain Ireland -----> 3-1

15th June
Ukrain France -----> 1-2
Sweden England -----> 0-1

16th June
Greece Russia -----> 0-2
Chzech Rep. Poland -----> 2-1

17th June
Portugal Netherlands -----> 3-1
Denmark Germany -----> 0-2

18th June
Crotia Spain -----> 1-3
Italy Ireland -----> 2-1

19th June
Sweden France -----> 1-4
England Ukrain -----> 1-1

Can we just post more pictures of European babes watching the Eurocup? With an emphasis on the Swedish and German please.

Lol, how about some Didier Drogba pictures? You said you could dominate with him...

Hey, joke aside, don't worry, there will be more pictures in a few days on the internet, I'm waiting for that reason.
