Eurobasket 2011: Turkey - England match is starting now. :) Live match Started

How was Enes' defense in his first few games? These last couple I've actually been impressed with his D, but I know he was getting ripped a bit on here.

hahahaha the commentator just told enes is a beast, though missed the following comment about mom and kids :)

Something else I've really liked seeing from Enes is that he seems to play pretty good D without fouling a lot. A nice change of pace for our bigs.

Euro refs don't call fouls nearly as often. He isn't playing against NBA stars. Not comparable.

enes is arguably the toughest and strongest 19 years old guy i have ever seen... i would not want to see him in the dark :)

9 points (2-2 FG 5-5 FT), 5 rebounds (3 offensive) and 2 blocks in 9:07 in the first half. One of the fouls was amazingly clean, but Kanter seems to get favorable calls from the officials for whatever reason. He also seems to force things a bit much when the ball's in his hands, but it's hard to argue with production. As has been stated, his team D is really coming along. It'll be interesting to see how he matches up against Spain and Lithuania's bigs.

enes has shown his shotblocking abilitiy, more because of his great timing than his athleticizm... he had three yesterday but they didn't count it, what a joke, and today, he has already two blocked shots in the first half. he blocked some shots in the friendly games, too. his help d, perimeter d, one on one d have been very solid. this guy is a stud referring to his rebounding and he is solid on the offensive end and making no mistake from the free throw line. the best player in the last 7 games, in each single game for turkey. what can you ask more from a 19 years old who gets average playing time? this guy has the desire, the quickness and a solid enough athleticizm to become a really good defender in the nba, imo. i really start to believe that enes was the best player in the draft, i know it's early to tell, but if you have seen the last seven games, you know what i'm talking about. oh gosh, kanter and favors will become such a terrific duo in this league, if they won't have injuries to deal with and if they work hard. the sky is literally the limit for us, really exciting to be a jazz fan. add burks and hayward and we have great potential and talent to go on with... he has been better than i expected, this guy hasn't played real basketball over the last two years and he is such a quick learner, really impressive...

considering he adjusted to official games so quickly he will do to nba games as well. I dont see any easily foul trouble guy in enes

Not going to get too excited. My grandma could block the shots of some of these Euro players. His game is so under the rim, not sure how well he is going to do in the NBA. He won't be able to just barrel his head into guys in the NBA.

it was blown to the wrong guy i think, the block was clean but the other guy kinda fouled him back with his body

omer asik is so freaking unpolished in offense, damn it someone should teach him a couple of moves at least

it was a very good dunk by kanter, it is very difficult to make it for a big man running down the floor and dunking so fluidly
