I don't know how his game will translate to the NBA, and if not for the recent success of Goran Dragic, I'd give him little chance of success. His game seems much more suited to European ball, as he doesn't seem all that strong or athletic. Dude's a gamer though, no doubt, but I'm not sure what position he'll be able to defend in the NBA (I guess, SG...?).

Just watched the game. Loved what I saw-- he didn't get as many touches as I would hope, so he has an unimpressive statline.

Let me tell you something guys;
Enes is pure talent ... Much more important is that he has got winner attitude ...

And if you have got any thoughts that he can be an other Darko ... Definitely not. Mark my words.

Darko never played this competitively in terms of level of opponents when he was drafted so it is not a fair comparison at all. Kanter is much more far along than Darko at the same age.

I just took a look at the accumulated stats through two games, and Kanter leads Turkey in minutes, points and rebounds (tied with Asik). I'd guess that he's been given big minutes these first two games because of the weak competition, so it'll be interesting to see how many minutes he gets against Lithuania and Spain. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Savas plays a lot more in those two games, with Kanter's minutes being reduced significantly, but we won't know until tomorrow.

I meant high draft pick and the expectations...
Enes is only playing Competitive Basketball after 2 years for the first time ... couldn't do that before the draft ....

Had they counted his two blocks yesterday (which I went back and watched), he would be tied with Asik for blocks as well (2.5/game; 5 total (3 counted)).

Also, I often forget what level of competition Enes is going against. He dominated his peers at the Nike Hoop Summit, but he is going against talented teams right now--much better than college teams. As an example, BYU just had a tournament in Greece. They played against two Greek teams I think, and absolutely destroyed them, one team by nearly 70. BYU then played the Greek and Italian national teams. BYU lost by 30 and 40 respectively.

Portugal and Great Britain...The real games start tomorrow for Enes.

True, we'll see how he does, but a team with Luol Deng as its best player has a player that is currently better than any college player. Luol Deng would smoke Harrison Barnes on experience alone. A lowly GB is still at least on par with a solid college team.

I noticed UNDERKANTER had did awy with the knee braces today and looked alot more mobile and quicker as illustrated on the fullcourt dash ending with the 2 hand throwdown.I hope he can play without those protective garmits from here on out.
