Eurobasket 2011: Turkey - lithuania match is starting now. :) Live match link here :)

enes needs to work on his jump shoot. But honestly we are a much better team than lithuania

In my defense, Valanciunas is usually #15. And yes, most players on that team look the same. It is ****ing weird.

Is anyone listening to the game with commentary? Are the commentators talking about why Jonas is not playing?

Jonas must be injured. It would make 0 sense to not play a guy who was dominating the friendlies before the tournament, and just dominated his U19 tournament.

In most teams veterans get minutes over young players because they are veterans. If Turkey had Gonlum and Erden - Kanter would not get as many minutes as he is getting now. LT coach tries to play small and fast, must be his tactical decision. So as much as I or everybody wants to see Enes vs JV now we will need to wait probably for another year until JV is playing for Raptors. Unless some of LT frontline gets injured or fouls out.

He doesn't appear to have confidence in his stand still jumper. He hesitates too much on it.

Confidence might not be there, but everything else is. He has excellent form for a big. If I had to describe his game to someone who has never seen him play in four words I would say: Kevin Love on meth.

enes is a great shooter with very solid shooting mechanics. he made some jumpers in the friendly games, but i wonder why he doesn't use his midrange game more often. but he will get confident in his shoot when he doesn't start hesitating. kanter is exactly this type of a player sloan would love to have.

where are they haters talking that enes would be the next bargnani or okur? this guy is tough as hell, a hustler, a banger, fights for every rebound, plays solid d and has blocked many shoots over the last couple of days. his perimeter defense and help defense have shown some solid flashes and his one on one defense is really solid. he is what i call an old school center, he realy plays old school basketball. i like his quickness and overall athleticizm and the way he ruuns the floor, like a deer. if he can improve his lift a little bit, the sky would literally become the limit for him. but i still expect him to become one of the best big man in the nba.

I believe Kanter is starting in the third. And margo is right, you can baaarely hear someone speaking

Kanters man with the Alley-oop, first boneheaded play of his on the defensive end.
