My bets are on France, Lithuania, Serbia and Latvia in first group, and Italy, Spain, Slovenia and Croatia in second. Greece really screwed themselves by losing to both Italy and Finland and for them to go through they need at least 2 wins against either Slovenia, Croatia or Spain. Plus some lucky results from other teams. I just do not see it happening.

France, Serbia, Lithuania in first group are certain, as well as Spain and Italy in the second group. I believe Ukraine has a nice team rhythm and won't give up the last spot. Mike Fratello doing a great job.

In the second group, I still believe in Greece. They will edge either Croatia or Finland. My bet on Croatia to go with Greece. Finland lacking experience could hurt them in this phase.

Ye that's what I meant. Not sure though if it's Greece personally. Found them very inconsistent from what I've seen(Haven't watched them too often, somehow I don't enjoy their playstyle).

And I thought luck of the draw and Germany was a football only thing!

Yeah but they played in weakest group so far and now they will be cannon fodder. What Latvia just proved. Ukraine has no chance vs Serbia or Lithuania. Same with Belgium. That group is kind of set already.
Second group is way more difficult to predict. For Greece to go through they need to beat Slovenia and Croatia and hope for some help as if Finland wins at least one game they will have tiebreaker vs Greece. Of course Finland can lose all their 3 games. I think for them deciding game is vs Croatia, if they win they will be in as crazy as it sounds.
 
As expected Belgium was a little bit stronger than Ukraine, and as I predicted, Serbia struggles to play 40 min consistently.
 
Lt's defense is keeping them 10 pts ahead over France in 3 quarter, will they be able to maintain same intensity for all 40 min?
 
Lithuania has 9pt lead after 3. Win here would almost 100% put LT in elimination round.
 
Good win by Lithuania, completely shut down France's offense and T. Parker ( 11pts/2ast).. JV had 13pts/6reb,1bl,1stl on 6/6 FG in 15 min only.
 
Yeah, Ukraine ruined it.

Congrats to Lithuania, they are in the best possible position they could imagine. It's being a good experience for JV. DMO has still a long way to take on a bigger role both in NT and NBA.

Greece can beat any team in this tourney. When they bring it they play really good. But it's a fact they made it difficult in the previous round. Let's see.

Croatia wins today vs Finland putting Greece on the edge of the abyss. Now they need not only to win twice but they need some lucky outcomes in other games and as well point differential may play role. Of course if they win all their 3 games they would go through but I just do not see it.

Well, watching ESP-GRE game. I may be biased towards Greece. They are not showing much hope right now.
 
Slovenia's win over Italy makes second group even more messy. Anybody's guess is good now who is going through and who is not.
 
Lithuania destroys Belgium 86-67 ( It was +30 game but Belgium made it closer by winning 4th quarter 32-17)....Motiejunas had 13pts, JV 12pts/10 reb in 13 min. Lithuania now is through to elimination round.
