First off new poster and first time on a jazz board before, huge jazz fan BTW :).

If the Jazz lose all 3, would you tank the season, get a high draft pick and maybe make a run at some free agents in 2011 with all the $$ to spend? As I have heard, Ante tomic may come over in 2011 and could be a very special player. AK's $ would be off the books, the Jazz would also save $ by not paying Booz and Korver and Miles/Kosta's contract's have player options for 2011.

The Jazz probably wouldn't be very competitive IMO without those 3 and not having Okur till January.
I would rather see them win but if saving a lot of $ and gaining another high draft pick means to a losing season, Im ok with it but only for this year. I think they could have some pretty good pieces to compete if this happened for 2011 like a couple good FA's,Tomic, couple draft picks,D Will,Paul, maybe Wes and an expiring Okur. Only question is would this keep D Will satisfied enough to stay, it would be an absolute gamble but it may pay off.

Last thing I can think of, my favorable option would be to sign and trade Booz and get some decent pieces, sign Wes,get a big with the MLE and trade AK at the dead line to get even more pieces.

Deron and Sloan have to much pride to tank the season. We will still be in contention for playoffs with out Boozer, Okur and Korver. We wont be as good but we will not be a bottom feeder team with Deron, Millsap and Miles.

Jerry Sloan would never tank the season. I think he would sooner quit than do that. I believe the Jazz will keep Wes. I am pretty confident Boozer and Korver are gone. I am fine with that provided the Jazz can find some free agent big or do a S&T for Boozer. If they find a relatively decent backup for 'Sap I think they could potentially have a better year than last.

The Jazz wouldn't tank and we'd get punished in essence for it (no high lotto pick). Remember when they said we'd win 8 games? I'd be very disgusted if we couldn't (or simply can but don't) even resign ONE of those three.

The Jazz will never tank as long as Deron and Jerry are together, it would be tough be we would still be in the mix for the 6-8 seeds.
Also, the CBA expires June 2011 so waiting until next year for FA's is a foolish decision because the FA class is very weak (Yao's not opting out), we'd only have about $11 million to spend (prolly much less bc the cap is likely to decrease again) and there's about a 75% chance there's going to be a lockout and no one knows what the cap rules are going to be afterward.

The jazz won 40 games with one of the worse rosters assembled so I highly doubt they would get a very high pick if Booz, Korver were not on the team. Besides, Is there any next Lebron, Wade, Howard in next year's draft?

Yes because NJ has proved what getting a lottery pick and cap space can do right? ok Warriors? How about the Clippers? Kings?

Honestly I don't see the Jazz being above a 6 seed if this is the team. Fes as our C are Koufus back up C, that could be trouble.
So far, phoenix is worse, San antonio is older and might lose Jefferson or trade parker, portland is about the same, Denver is the same,Lakers are the champs, Thunder will be better as they get more experience, Houston is better w/Yao now, the Clips could improve and the Jazz are worse
