Exum assigned to the Stars

Um that's a false statement.
Nah, very true. There are things Exum sucks at but he has consistently been the best at throwing the lob, especially to Rudy. Even his rookie year he was good at it. Also statistically he gets the most assists to Gobert per minute when they do play together.

I dunno. It's a pretty small sample size, with like, what, 14 minutes between injuries.

Huh? I'm not sure you've been paying attention. This is all about injury recovery and
K, it’s not normal for any 6th year NBA player to play in the G-League for any reason. It’s not. It says everything about where he’s at physically, mentally, and skills-wise.

I hid a clue as to what the reason is above.

Gets to the rim really really well. Just can't ever finish when he gets there.

I think he will cut into Mudiay's time right away by way of Mudiay having a shorter leash. Given a choice, Snyder will generally favor the guy playing defense.
Exum used to drive Snyder bonkers by messing up switches and team defensive assigments. Doubt he is a threat to Mudiay's minutes at all.

Are you kidding? This organization has an obsession with sunk costs and saving-face about Exum to the point of abject denial of reality. Never underestimate it.

They probably just want to get him some minutes where it's not at the expense of Mudiay. Probably a good call for his fitness/to knock the rust off.

I don’t disagree. He has about 5 years of it to knock off.

Were you using Exum in nba 2k or ? Regardless he sucks and Mudiay has already surpassed him

Seems like five but he was pretty damn hot in January before his injury.
You’re going to have to break that down for me with real figures because it sure looked like his “pretty damn hot” is about what Mudiay is giving us this season, which is about as long as Exum’s “hot streak” but Mudiay’s also represents a 100% sample size rather than <5%.

All I’m asking for is a reason to be so excited. The facts about Exum as an actual basketball player in the NBA don’t jive with the hype. It’s more disconnected than about any example I can think of, ever.
