Exum Update

I looked at the schedule a few weeks ago and thought that this 5 game stretch would be ideal to get Exum back on the court. If we are going to see some garbage time, it will be the next couple of weeks.

So Thursday v. Suns (I'll be there...one of the lucky fans who get to stand in the tunnel and greet the team), or perhaps Saturday v. Kings...I am ready.
PHX would be nice but probably Saturday.

So Neto is out for the next 2 weeks. I guess that's the opportunity to work Exum back in. He'll take some minutes from O'Neale too if things go well.

TJ Warren would probably suplex him again
2 things, first Dante wont have to worry about that and second at least we wont have to worry about minute restriction, first game jitters or struggles because Exum is gonna play about 10 sec before being ejected. For full on drop kicking Warren while going for a rebound on a shot that was taken while Exum was still sitting on the bench. Later news will come out that Warren will need AC joint surgery on both his shoulders and when told in a post game interview Exum will be quoted as saying (in a disappointed but subtly sarcastic tone) "well ain't that the ducks nuts".

I may still be holding a bit of a grudge.

I also hope he comes back against PHX because the timing seems to good and coincidental to pass up.

Where does Exum get picked if he played college ball? Would he still have been a lotto pick at 19 years old?

Absolutely not. After his weaknesses would be on full display during college season he would not be mystery hype international pick anymore. He would be in 18-25 range at best. Thats why not going to college and cashing in on hype was brilliant move by Exum and his agent.

Exum has this stint to show he's healthy and to earn his next contract. I think he'll be motivated after all he's been through.

I highly doubt this. He was very good against his peer group even in the world competition he played. I think he still likely ends up as a lottery pick, though I'd guess not a top 5 pick. There's a GIGANTIC difference between playing college ball and playing NBA ball from both a physical and talent standpoint. Exum was drafted high for actual reasons that still exist.
