Bigs allow you to guard on the perimeter, though. Bigs have always been and continue to be the entire reason a defense works. If you can't protect the rim or guard a PnR, you are susceptible to getting destroyed.

This is not saying anything for or against any team in particular. Just arguing that defense from your bigs is a necessity.

All of the above, not necessarily deliberately. I know in my heart of hearts that this was the defining reason the Deron-era Jazz never realistically had a chance. You are not going to win anything with two of the worst interior defensive presences in the entire league getting the lion's share of minutes and closing games. There is a way to win with a poor defensive big, but you basically have to commit to making up for it everywhere else.

Okay, so I got dissed for playing KG as an SF and now Kobe's a PG? Whatever. Karl Malone in his prime kills Dirk. KJ has the toughest match-up since, well, Penny. I'll go with Franklin.
