Hack's case:

I just want to speak on a few points considering my team. Ill leave it up to everyone's imagination what the game would be like.

1. The Shaq affect

To defend Shaq requires double and triple teams, which makes everyone he plays with better, and their jobs a lot easier. It spreads the floor in different way than a shooter does. It forces the other team to routinely leave their man, and gamble. It often doesn't work out for the opposing team if Shaq is playing with another superstar in his prime. In this case, I have two legit Superstars, Wade , and Durant. Shaq's rings were won with only one Superstar each time, Kobe and Wade. Just think what having two would do. Wade and Durant can have a field day while the other team is desperately trying to stop Shaq. Shaq was a force like no other and was probably the most physically dominate player ever.

Every where Shaquille has played in his prime, namely, Orlando, L.A., and Miami, he has taken his team to the Championship. And every time he moved on those teams fell out of contention.

2. Team Balance

My team has role players, do all players, and specialty players. My team has an excellent combination of finesse and power. If you look closely they all compliment each other in a certain way. Take for instance Wade and Durant. Both basically have zero weaknesses but excel in an area. Wade is more of a driver while Durant is lethal from the outside. They don't duplicate each other, but are both capable of doing just about anything. No one duplicates anyone on my team with the exception of maybe Rose and Wade, but they aren't starting together. Rose can provide the scoring punch off the bench.

3. Clutch time.

I have three guys who are as clutch as they come, Wade , Durant, and Horry. There are a few others that I wouldn't be afraid of putting game in their hands either.

Why I believe my team would win

The offense is unstoppable. The defense is good enough. The clutch is off the chain.

UGLI baby's case:

This team speaks for itself. Total domination.

What critics are saying about team UGLI baby:

UGLI has an amazing team that would be a thing of beauty to watch. The passing of Kidd, West, Bird, and Walton? That's sexual healing. And then throw in Moses and it just gets better. Numb's team would stand their ground for a while but then UGLI's team would pull away, and if it ever got close, I'll take Larry Bird and Mr. Clutch any time over Mr. 8 Points in 9 Seconds.

Moses is one of the most underrated greats of all time.

One word.

Bird.

A ba ba bird bird bird......... bird is the word. A ba a ba bird bird bird........... bird is the word.

Bill Walton, in the little time he was healthy, may have been the best center ever.

UGLI baby wins

I like turtles. I also like teenage boys from Canada that wear skinny jeans.

Walton, West, Moses, and Bird. Good enough for me.

Hack has the advantage at the 5, but I like UGLI's team in all other aspects. This one goes to UGLI.

I kind of hate both of these teams. One was a purposeful joke and the other picked some serious doozies. One has players that probably largely couldn't keep up with today's players, and one drafted a guy that has still yet to prove he can do anything besides jump, Robert Horry in the 9th round, and a guy that's had one good (not great) season of basketball, ever.

On paper, they're pretty evenly matched. I have to vote for Hack because I know what his players can do, and he actually tried.

Hack built his team to break backboards. I built mine to win basketball games.

And backboards we will break, but that doesn't mean we wouldn't win.

Just because half my team sports 40 in verticals doesn't mean they don't have skill.

In the case of Blake Griffin, it means exactly that.

You are wrong Numberica. I'm promise you that. Blake Griffin has a nice set of skills. He isn't Gerald Green or someone like that. Every single sports writer out there would put Blake Griffin in the top 15 players in the world, if not ten. You can't make that list if all you are is a dunker. You know better than that.

Blake has a nice soft touch on his jumper, He can hit the occasional 3, from the high post, and anywhere near the basket.. He can put the ball on the floor. He rebounds with best. He already averages nearly a block and a steal per game. He dives for lose balls. He plays the pick and roll perfectly. And on and on. What more do you want from him?

Passing ability. FREE THROWS. RELIABLE shot. Anything resembling a post game. Defense.

You're half-right, though. He's better than I give him credit for, but he's far worse than most give him credit for. As much as I love Paul Millsap, if he's lighting you up and shutting you down, you're not that good of a player (same goes for Pau Gasol).

Ben matches Moses well enough.
Neither SF can guard the other.
Wade destroys West.
Shaq beats Walton.
Edge Hack at PG too.

His rookie season he averaged 4 assists a game and this last year 3. Those are good numbers for a big man. His passing passes the eye ball test for me too.

His free throw percentage in his rookie career was 64% and 54% this year. Typical for a big man early in his career. Malone was the same way. His stroke passes the eyeball test for me too. I believe he will soon be shooting 70+% very soon. He isn't all the way there yet in that regard, but he certainly isn't atrocious. It's really his only small weakness for now.

I just think that his dunking ability overshadows what other things he does well. So people just look at him as a dunker.

He just needs some polishing. That's all. He has all the base skill sets to be a HOF. As long as he stays healthy, he will be a HOF I predict.

Good post except you forgot that Blake Griffin would have about 10 game momentum changing dunks that shake the confidence of Ugly's team. Everyone will be so focused on the rest of my guys that Blake will have wide open lanes to the basket.

If anyone remembers Gary Payton back in the day they would remember he was an excellent alley oop passer. He had Shawn Kemp to pass to. I imagine he would know how to get Blake Griffin involved.

Shaq has an advantage over Bill Walton, except in the area of on-air color commentary. Moses Malone is probably the best player at the PF spot for either team, but he has to play near the hoop. I actually don't mind Blake Griffin as a 4th or 5th option when he's surrounded by that much talent. I would probably vote for Hack, but I'm hung up on how awesome Larry Bird is. Will have to think about this some more.

FWIW I voted for your team.
