W/ Honorable mention to 'The 400 Blows' ('59)

One of my favourite movies as well. I probably only understand about 5% of it as it's one of the most mind twisting movie I'd seen.

You're ****ing high. Without looking up the stats, I'll say I think Johnson put up better stats in just about every category in the toughest conference in the country. Get a clue Princess.

I just disliked my own post. Bitches.

First time in JF history?

I've seen it probably 20 times. It covers an incredible amount of ground in 77 minutes.

The intricacies/layers of the dialogue/story are nothing short of brilliant. Part of the dialogue is meant to produce the effect of losing the viewer though, which is certainly absorbed by the audience on the first viewing.

I can answer most questions about the story, I recommend it all the time and it's failsafe that people get confused. It naturally leaves you with so many questions to be asked that many people just get the "I missed it" feeling and their waiting for answers/closure they ultimately don't get. Which is how you get mixed reviews and people not being able to follow the basics...

Once you peel back the layers of the onion it gets much better though, everything is weaved together in such a way that a much bigger picture is painted. There's key parts to the story going on throughout that aren't noticeable at all on the first watch, it's kind of the ultimate 'who done it?' film, it's LOADED with context clues.

I enjoyed Time Crimes much more so far as time travel movies go.

FWIW, my larger list, in no particular order, in addition to The Insider, includes:

Boogie Nights
The Talented Mr. Ripley
Birth
Munich
Zodiac
The Departed
Casino Royale
The Place Beyond The Pines
In the Bedroom
Children of Men

Others like The Big Lebowski, Collateral, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and others would have made the list years ago but I've probably simply seen them too many times, their luster somewhat worn away.

Hmm.. much more vanilla than I would have thought. I enjoyed all those movies as well but they're all a bit too 'mainstream' for my taste.

Actually I might re-watch it this time with a 'map' of time to help guide me through it.

Super troopers

Gigli. Best. Movie. Ever.

6% Rottentomatoes (dis)approval rating..... $54m budget, ... made $7.3m at the box office....

I'm surprised that movie didn't bankrupt the studio!!!!

Proves critics know nothing.
