A max deal would be $27mm per year. Since he's making $11mm, and $12mm the next two seasons, the Jazz could negotiate for a discounted max of $21.25mm per year ($108mm - $11mm - $12mm = $85mm/4) and front load it with annual declines. The discount comes from them paying him much more the final two years of his current contract.
Given his injury history, and that he would both be getting significant raises this year and next and also mitigating injury risk, the Jazz could offer something of a slight discount. A contract of 21.5, 20.5, 19, 18 = $79mm over 4 years. I would shoot more in the $75mm range though. Too much injury risk with the back and feet.
You could even bump that up two or three million a year and you are still getting a great deal. Probably need to make sure he is making more than Kanter, just on principle. . .
