Does your signature tell us that Derrick Favors has thyroid issues?

That could be an ongoing issue throughout the season.

Changing my option to "Making Cousins for Wuggins".

You are right about Favors. He hasn't improved as much as he could have/should have. On the other hand, he came into the league as a "project" and hasn't had the playing time of Cousins. DeMarcus has averaged nearly 10 mins more per game than Derrick over the course of 3 seasons. That's almost one full season of minutes. Comparing the two will always be difficult. Favors could average 14/9 and be better than Cousins' 18/11 due to the superior defense. It will be interesting to see if Derrick can add some offensive weaponry. Right now I don't equate the two evenly at all: Cousins would merit a much larger contract.

I did not compare the ability of Cousins to Webber. I said "Cousins has a chance to be just as popular as Chris Webber was." The statement I was challenging was that Sacramento is a hell hole. Maybe being as popular as Webber is a bit of an overstatement, but the fans in Sacramento are desperate for a good team and players to cheer for. They were great fans during the Webber era. And now, with new ownership, with a deal to keep the franchise in Saramento, it could be DeMarcus' town...if he'd grow up and assume that mantle.
 
Cousins is an athletic freak. If he wasn't such an idiot he'd be taken more seriously and if he wasn't as good a player as he truly is he'd be out of the league (based on his attitude). He's only 22, and he's going to get better.

He is not athletic at all. It's his incredible huge wingspan and long standing reach.
 
If they both had the same mindset and I was forced to choose purely on physical assets, I hate to say it but I would take Cousins. Reality is that Cousins has a few red flags. If I had to choose one right now, Id take Favors easily.
