Favors Expected to Make Decision on Monday

Interesting that this is the first concrete reporting of Favors meeting other teams. Of course, there really wasn't a need to play the leverage game. I think both parties know and understand each other to not have to resort to that.

Agreed. No power plays here. Too much respect for that.

In Favors article it said he wanted to meet with the teams in person. It appears his agent met with the other teams on his behalf with the exception of the Jazz. With a decision coming tomorrow, I would be very surprised if he doesn’t resign with the Jazz. Who knows, DL has been trying to sell us on the Gobert/Favs line up works. It works but that doesn’t mean it’s the best line up DL. I hope to see Favs back for next season.....I also hope we aren’t locked into a long contract.

Favors didn't meet with other teams. It said his agent met with other teams. I think that says a lot...no teams want to bring Favors in for a meeting. In an earlier interview, Derrick spoke of the importance of meeting with teams in person.

But a FIVE hour meeting with the Jazz. What did he do, send Dennis out to do his shopping and Quin to do laundry and fetch his dry cleaning? Lang probably had to detail his cars. Then he set up an obstacle course in the backyard with a series of hoops for them to jump through.

I’m gonna say it’s a 3/38 and he stays. If we descend the salary it’s a good deal... gives him a slight bump in pay. If he’s healthy it’s a bargain. I don’t see him wanting to do a one year if he can help it.

Depends if he wanted to play it safe or bet on himself being healthy and go for a big payday next offseason when more money is available. A 1 year deal makes sense for both sides especially if it’s a 1/2 year deal with an opt out on the second.

He's going to resign according to my friend who's brother works with Greg Miller. They gave him 2 contracts to chose from and that's what he's supposed to be deciding on. Unless he completely changes his mind, sounds pretty sure though. No idea what the 2 contracts are probably a 1 year or a multi though.

Why haven’t we gotten together for a meal or some ****?

My lazy ***... hit me up. Not a Wednesday night.

Kids on Wednesdays eh.

I'll be busy next couple weeks renting out my apartment and fixing some basement leaks, repairing drywall and putting in a sump pump because my homebuilder did a ****** job.

After that I should be good. Mondays and weekends are best for me. I get up at 6, home at 8:30.

Yup, kids on Wednesday night. And those are precious.

Sounds like a Monday night it is. Still have my #?
