Favors Expected to Make Decision on Monday

He's going to resign according to my friend who's brother works with Greg Miller. They gave him 2 contracts to chose from and that's what he's supposed to be deciding on. Unless he completely changes his mind, sounds pretty sure though. No idea what the 2 contracts are probably a 1 year or a multi though.

If he signs a one year deal then I'm cool with it, if it's a multiyear deal I'm going to be really depressed.

Wouldn’t it be strange to fly DL and Quin out to Atlanta for a 3 hour meeting if a sign and trade for Favs was in the works?

I think DL’s friday interview was very revealing that they think Favs is part of the core for the long haul.

If it’s a one year deal, I think it’d be cause Derrick asked for it.

Not really on the S&T. Because Favors has to agree.

As for the 1 year deal with the Jazz. To me that seems in the bay financial interest of the Jazz and Favors.
 
I've got no problem with Favs signing a multi year deal, wants to be here, plays great playoff ball, is unselfish, has been working to improve his game to get it to a point that fits better with Quin's system and hasn't cried like a baby when he hasn't got the usage he probably merits. Hope he hangs around.

I agree with everything you said....except....you can’t lock yourself into Rudy/Favs for too long. You need to make something happen. If you are stuck with a 3-5 year deal it really hurts what you can do and sacrifices it with a lineup that is not ideal to beat the best teams. I love Favs too, but I’m really hoping for a one year deal.

I hear what you're saying but loyalty and culture has a value to me, I don't think Favors will let anybody down on a 3 year deal. Probably like a bunch of teams I think we are a piece away from being a real contender, maybe if we renounce Jonas and Udoh and somehow sign Parker we might get over the line.

But a FIVE hour meeting with the Jazz. What did he do, send Dennis out to do his shopping and Quin to do laundry and fetch his dry cleaning? Lang probably had to detail his cars. Then he set up an obstacle course in the backyard with a series of hoops for them to jump through.

They just chilled, drank lemonade and had a Southern-style lunch. The kids were around... they had a great time. Until Derrick's drunk cousin JaBron showed up in a Hayward Celtics jersey and attacked DL and Quin.

What is Jabrons? We can always say it if it smells like racist it is racists!
 
Whats everyone's gut feeling on this? the longer the decision takes is it better or worse for our chances of retaining Favs?
