He would have veto power a la Mirotic, unless his second year becomes guaranteed, a la Mirotic. So can we still trade him?

It’s essentially a 1 year $18 million and the Jazz determine the destiny of the 2nd year. A little overpriced? Yes, but it’s not a bad deal tbh. Losing him for nothing would have been worse than overpaying him for 1 season.
Agreed, they basically had to. I think Favs made a lot of sacrifices and you can’t ask him to come back, make those same sacrifices unless there’s a price. This pays Derrick, who has been nothing but positive and great to have here, while also keeping the Jazz flexibility next offseason. It’s worth noting that while the West is ridiculous, losing Ariza hurts Houston, OKC didn’t get stronger, yes Lebron moved west but the Jazz aren’t in a bad spot. We should certainly hope SA ships Kawhi east.It doesn’t even matter if it’s a little overpriced. Literally means nothing at all other than rewarding Favors for everything he has done.
Damn, you balling?
Yeah, but you doubted he was coming back this year, doubted how much he would get, and doubted how valuable he is to the team.
Is that written into Favor's contract, because I thought Mirotic had it in his?He would have veto power a la Mirotic, unless his second year becomes guaranteed, a la Mirotic.
I don't think anyone cares. He could be a demon deacon in the Church of Satan and I wouldn't GAF as long as he can play D.
