Favors for Okafor or Noel Anyone?

I'll even take it a step further. No team will ever compete with a title if he is your starting C or PF. I would bet my 2014 Honda Civic on that. I'd bet my incredible basketball card collection on that.

Hmmm the Civic would be a great commuter for me.

A team with Favors as second scoring option will never compete for a title

Well a team with Favors as second scoring option can't ever get into the playoffs! that's the reality of where we are.

The reality is we were injured as ****. Come talk to me in 11 months when we're rolling fools in the playoffs.

If we want another big who is exceptional on offense but play little defense, we would've kept Kanter. At least Kanter is beast on rebounds where Okafor isn't.

By the way rocfan, have fun with D'Antoni as your coach. That should go well.

Lol i've been a Jazz fan all my life. Your damn right we'll be in the playoffs next year but it wont be because Favors is doing anything different. D'Antoni are you serious!? I still wonder why teams still interview him smh

I think we can all agree on that. But trading Favors for a better scorer is not the only way to get a better scorer on the team.

Personally, I expect Hood to score more PPG next season than Favors, which would make Favors the third best scorer.

The real problem is we don't have a true #1. But that ain't ever going to be Okafor, so why would I sacrifice our team's defense (its best strength moving forward) just so we can continue to lack a legit star? I'd rather have elite defense and no star than meh defense and no star.

Favors won't be that as most expect Hood to fill that role and as Exum develops, favors scoring options will increase and find them to be much easier options as well.

It's so satisfying that even though the Rox limped into the playoffs and the Jazz just missed the playoffs due to massive and injury plagued year both teams are trending in opposite directions.

The Rox defense was bad enough last year, and now u are losing your rim protector, and The Rockets have hired and D'antoni who blatantly ignores defense hoping to just out score the opponent. Good luck with that.

Once a rox fan always an idiot!!

How did I become a Rockets fan!? I do agree that Rodney or Exum (possibly) will become a consistent 2nd scoring option.

Your post is spot on. Every Jazzfan is trying to find that potential #1 guy. I think it's clear that Okafor has the potential to be a number 1 scoring option in this league. The question is can he dominate on offense and after seeing his rookie season everything points to Yes he will be able to!

Check out some rookie season highlights since i can tell not many jazz fanz have seen him play. Notice not only how he scores but who he's able to score on. look at the ball handling skills, superior post game and jumper out to 18ft.

@MichaelHJordan Bruh a Jazz fan said they would trade Derrick Favors/Dante Exum and TWO 1st round picks for Okafor. The people are stupid.

Come on man, that ain't true. We would have made playoffs had our big 3 not missed 40 percent of the season. To say you could never make it in with Faves as your number 2 is quite inaccurate.

That's why We need Hood Dante and Lyles to continue to improve offensively. If all 3 of those guys reach offensive Ceiling, we are title contender. Tall order? yes. Likely? perhaps not, but possible? indeed.

For Okafor to score, you have to run your offense through him. For Favors to score, you don't need to. That's a pretty big, and important difference, especially in today's NBA.

Also, if you think our spacing with Favs and Rudy is bad....just imagine Oak and Rudy. Ugh.

Omg no. Both those guys suck.

See this is what I am talking about. I don't think you even know a little thing about basketball.
Favors can still improve I always hear from Jazz fans, Well so can these 2 since they are younger.
Okafor is a big body and his defense needs work yes but I thought Gobert was a swat machine? Sub defense and offense when need to.

Okafor could demand a double eam and that open up shooterslike Hood to make it rain from the 3.
Favors is a solid player but highly doubt if he is ever an allstar. Doesn't have go to moves and counter moves in the post.
Okafor has moves for days. Okafor has all star potential and when you talking abouty this trade yo uare talking about potential with both players. Favors has been in the league for awhile and still hasn't gotten any low post moves. Dwight Howard relied on his athletic ability and never developed much of an offensive game and now his game is on the decline quickly.
I would make this trade in a heartbeat and I think Philly would too since they could play Favors with Noel and still have Joel E coming off the bench hopefully. Noel and Favors are both kind of combo big guys anyways

Okafur's defense doesn't need work. It's a trainwreck. Totally unfixable. You can't fix slow and unathletic. That's him.
