Favors Fouls

I know people have said that its good to bench favors when he gets the 2 fouls early because it sends a message to him that he needs to learn to play D without fouling.... I understand that point and it does make sense.

However, couldn't it also send a message to favors to not play as hard/aggressive defense in order to avoid getting fouls?
Also isn't it possible that the early fouls he has been called for have not actually been fouls.... maybe he was playing good D and the refs made bad calls.

Maybe he should play defense like jefferson or boozer or something just so he can stay in the game.

I agree with benching him and talking to him. However why is it that he can't come back into the game in the 2nd quarter? Learning to play with fouls is something he also needs to learn.

I hope he plays aggressive defense tonight regardless.
Luckily the 76ers dont have anybody down low as good as Gasol, and Nene.

With Favors length and wingspan, he needs to defend with his feet and his body not his hands. The first two games this year he's defending like the first few games when he was traded to Utah last year.

Just standing straight up in position with his arms extended is enough to give most players trouble in the low post. He was doing that the end of last season - I'm sure he'll be fine.
