Favors' Impact in the Spurs Series (Let Favors' Play!)

He has a point though. If we are relying on Favors to prevent that 22-2 run, we are losing the game no matter what. The team as a whole has to perform better and hit open shots. How many open shots did Hayward miss in that first half? We all want to blame this squarely on Corbin's shoulders for not playing Favors enough, but the players themselves are severely under performing.
stfu up defending the dumbest man in al off utah. corbin SUCKS MONKEY BALLS

You guys all need to calm down. You are losing your composure.

Think positive.

Maybe Corbin is doing all this on purpose. He could be planning to unleash Favors all along. He wanted Popavich to think he's got this. But Favors is going to average a triple double from here on out. Jazz win the series in 6.

To me it's not that putting one guy in could have won games or anything. It's that as IMO two things should be happening out there:

1) Playing the guys who give the team the best chance to win. Hey, if that is Howard and Al and Harris etc. then I would hardly be complaining. But those guys are getting torched. So if the guys who aren't really a long term plan out there are getting torched out there then go on to step 2.

2) Playing the rookies who are theoretically part of the future. So Favors/Kanter/Burks/Hayward/etc.

All that being said, the mind boggling part is that so far it seems like the 2nd option at the same time is the first option. I don't care per se that the Jazz would have lost with those guys, I just care that Ty is putting the best guys on the court. The fact it's inexperienced guys make this losing situation a partial win, but Ty for some reason wants guys like Josh Howard to get minutes. Seriously, ****ing Josh Howard got more minutes in game 2 than Favors did. That's so ****ing inexcusable that I can't even find the right words to describe how ****ing inexcusable it is.

As obvious as all this seems, if Utah makes a serious game out of game 3 it won't matter how it happens.

I want to know why Millsap has not appeared. Why Harris has not either. Where are these people?

IMO it is not over. We have some players that can play. They just have to show up, and our coach has to play the players who perform.

I think of it as kind of like the butterfly effect. If the Jazz could have hung in there more from the start in either game then I think that gives them confidence to play there best throughout the game. They all looked shell shocked. It seemed like they all forgot what the hell they were going to do, and nothing they did was crisp. If they would have started a whole lot better then maybe those nerves would have gotten shook off. Hell just by doing that in the first game then maybe it would have carried to the second game. We all seen when Favors is in there the whole dynamic changes. So I say yes, one player does make a big difference. What kind of idiotic statement is that anyways? Take Lebron off the Cavs what do you have? Or, Dwight off the Magic?

Yeah, and whose job is it to bench a player when he's underperforming? The coach's. Get a clue bro. Corbin's in control. If he wants to be. And until he decides to lay the sledgehammer down and bench Al (or Paul) two or three minutes into a game for lazy, uninspired play, that ****ty play will continue. There's no reason it wouldn't.

It's really not rocket science.

Damn it Torbin. I hate to agree with Manbewbs, but he is right.
