Favors on the trading block????

Unless it's in a package to bring back a bonafide all-star point in their mid-20's guard (Rondo), all-star small forward in their mid-20's (Smith), the Jazz FO is idiotic.

Considering the virtually nothing is leaked by the Jazz before trades are made makes this report very suspicious. If anything, dangling Favors out there would would only be done to see if these very players would be available for him (+filler i.e. CJ, Howard, Raja, etc.)

I would have a hard time turning down Favors + filler for Rondo or Smith. Plus, Favors is worth no less than these caliber of players. He was the center piece of the DWill trade, he would have to bring back some legit, young talent for the Jazz to trade him at this point in his career.

I can't remember who it was recently on the BS Report with Simmons (I think it was either Morey or Cuban) but he mentioned that other teams will simply throw someone's name out just to gauge another team's interest in shopping them.

This reeks of another team (or teams) trying to gauge what they'd have to give up to get Favors.

Talking about crazy trades. I did this because it works on espn: Jazz trade Harris, Millsap, and Miles to pistons. Pistons then trade Gordon, Stuckey to the blazers. Blazers trade Wallace to Pistons, Matthews to Jazz. Jazz get Brandon Knight, Wes Matthews, and T. Prince. <<<< LOL XD Force Ty to play Knight because he can already score more than Earl and probably Tinsley. We get Matthews back and I think Prince is decent. We solve our PG/SG problem, and give room for favors to take Millsap's spot. HOORAY!!!

Maybe the rumour started with Bill Simmons NBA Trade Value article published today:
https://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/7664492/nba-trade-value-part-1

Bill Mentions Al Jefferson (funny take on Al’s passing) as tradable but just outside his top 50.

Milsap is Listed as the 43rd most tradable player citing his low contract number and favorable per ranking.

Favours is listed as the 47th most tradable and Evan Turner as the 46th.
Bill explains it thus:

I liked this quote from Bill Simmons "Did we ever figure out why Al Jefferson has a 38-year-old girlfriend????"

Agreed. I'd like to be sure that every single person on earth gets my approval before hooking up.

Doubt we trade Favors. KOC was SUPER high on this guy. High enough to give up Williams for him. I don't see why KOC would suddenly change his mind on Favors--he obviously believes he will become a great player.

That is the only package that makes sense to me. I would be against it, but it wouldn't be terrible. If we gave up one of our picks though, I would be upset.
If they include Favors in a package to land Rondo I for one will be very upset. That is a waste of young talent for a very overrated headcase. There is a reason they are looking to trade Rondo.

If the Jazz move favors for something less than another ptential all star....I am going bluesrocker on this board.

I agree with Verlin. I'll go Bluesrocker on all yall bitch asses for ever supporting KOC yall better hope this ain't true.

Right Verlin?

I hate to be the ball buster here, but Favors numbers this year are almost identical to last year's. He's not improving with the minutes given and his stock is starting to fall because of it. If the Jazz can get a stud for Favors then they shouldn't hesitate.

It doesn't matter what his numbers are right now. He isn't being given the chance. But besides all that, this is KOC's big move. He can't bail now. He has to ride this bitch out. All his chips are pushed to the center of the table. Can't fold now. Favors is the center piece to the trade. He can't claim Harris or the gs pick or even Kanter. That was lucky. If favors doesn't pan out then this will go down as the worst trade in Jazz history.

True, but given the past couple of games, he has made a pretty good developmental leap, IMO. Honestly, I'd wait till the end of the year to EVEN CONSIDER listening to trades involving him. I just can't see KOC giving up on favors this early considering the amount of time he gave to Chucker...

do u think, its a coincidence? last 2 games, every ball in offense ended up in Favors hands, while he was on the court.i think they are trying to pump up his trade value.Favors is my second favorite player in the Jazz, and i will be mad if they trade him.Just watch him when he plays tonight,,see how much the team plays on him,,maybe its just me,dont know

Favors and Kanter are both untouchable. I will strongly consider revoking my fan card if KOC dumps either of them. Burks and Hayward are both slightly more replaceable, although I nauseate at the thought of having them traded as well.
