With what assets, lol.

Our picks other than the 2031 Suns and MAYBE the 2029 Cavs just kind of suck if we get Flagg (because then our future picks have little to no value). Our young players other than Kessler have really minimal value as well. Everyone other than Hendricks projects as a bench player or out of the league and Hendricks has a broken leg.

"Do you want one billion marginal assets for your star" is just a weird pitch.
Now the Negative Nanceys want to downplay our assets like we arent in the top 5 of draft assets in the NBA. Great/

I mean, we bet on the Cavs imploding (no), the Lakers imploding (no), or the Wolves imploding by basically now (no) so all of these picks have pretty minimal value other than the Suns pick. That's why we traded away all of our (likely) Cavs pick for the one Suns pick.

Mitchell re-signing, Mobley and Edwards improving, and Luka being traded badly hurt the pick stockpile.

Im sure 4 years from now everything will be exactly as how it is now

I mean, the issue is that enough time has passed that the picks are starting to come due and things would have to change like... Right now, lol.

If you're a team evaluating the Jazz's picks and prospects, how valuable do you view the Jazz's picks other than the 2031 Suns pick? How valuable do you view the prospects other than Kessler? Probably not much at all.

Picks are picks. They are extremely valuable. You are being a moron.

I don't really agree at all and I think you're badly understating how wrong every single bet Ainge has made has gone with these picks.

Everything that was supposed to happen with LA and Cleveland did not happen and while Minnesota is melting down a little, they have enough to stay mediocre. The Timberwolves and Lakers picks are even protected in 2029 and 2027 in case something goes terribly wrong.

Meanwhile, the Jazz's two top ten picks have no value either. We have few valuable assets outside of Kessler and the 2031 Suns pick outside of our own picks.

We just saw star players go for 1-2 picks, and not super valuable great picks. Stop being stupid. Stop being negative for the sake of being negative.

You can get star players for cheap-ish if one of two things occurs

1. They demand to be traded to your team
2. You are willing to overpay them

Or some mild combination of both.

Neither of these things is happening in Utah.

Man, you already pollute RealGM with your garbage that make the rest of the Jazz fanbase look stupid, we don't need your bad takes here too.

We traded for John Collins for no reason. We signed Lauri for no reason. We extended Clarkson for no reason..... and for what? To slow devopment of young players and screw us from getting higher picks?
How is having those veteran players slowing the development of young players?

You saw what Collier & Williams looked (and Williams still does) like at the start of the season. Imagine them playing 30+ minutes every night, being absolute dog-**** night after night - and with no hope of succeeding. How's the development going then?

Instead Collier was able to take it in slower, without having to be a starter. And now? Pretty much all of his 10 APG are going to Lauri, to Collins, to Kessler etc. If he was playing with Williams & Flip all night? Would probably look just as bad as he was at the start of the season.

And I'm equally sure 4 years from now everything will be exactly as rosy as you predict it will be. Does this make you a Rosy Ruby?

I don't believe that on signing up for Jazzfanz anyone was asked to sign a pledge promising to be all sunshine and smiles. He's as much right to be enthusiastically negative as you do to be enthusiastically positive. Doing so, and thus disagreeing with you, doesn't make him moronic. Honestly, reverting to name calling just because someone disagrees with you is just so ... moronic (ironic, right?)

You have no more a crystal ball than he does, though one might be confused on the matter given the certainty with which you claim to predict the future.
