What's new

I just want also to remind us I called right after the MIN blow-out loss that THT is gonna have a great ending for this season. I saw the flashes and I felt he gonna respond to the grown minutes. Also I want to announce here and now I am Mr. Ainge. Hi!

I want to like Ochai, but dude got ZERO defensive rebounds in 39 minutes in a game the Jazz largely lost due to lack of securing long rebounds.

THT sure has a natural feel for passing. His timing is great and the passes are smooth and accurate. Watching Conley from the bench must've helped too.

If THT keeps this up he may end up opting out. We also may need to have a conversation about him being a starting guard for us in the future. I think he could be a pretty good fit starting with Sexton and they would be a huge problem for opposing teams attacking the basket.

He's like Tyrese Haliburton if Monstars just zapped his scoring/shooting ability but left the other stuff.

He's under contract for next year.

I'm guessing he has decision making flaws because he looked physically extremely impressive.
He has always been one of those guys that shows flashes but didn't really fit the system that his team was running. Put him on those clippers teams in place of Deandre Jordan and he probably puts up similar numbers.

No tank or quit in this team, plenty of fight. All things considered I'm upping my guess and think they'll be above .500 the rest of the way.

The final stretch of the regular season is also interesting. Two games against the Lakers, one against the Nuggets + OKC. The Lakers might be out by then and shut everything down. And the Nuggets might have the 1 seed locked up and resting their starters.

Agree, still early, but I'd put all my chips on Jones over Dok any day of the week. Dok just hasn't taken the time to put it together, he actually looks less confident than he did as a rookie.
We've seen the last of Dok unless there is an injury. I was afraid of this once we got Jones because he just clearly better. He had a rough stint in LA but has been playable in other spots.

He looks like prime Favors out there athletically. Waiting to see the massive flaw that has to exist.

He's not a high IQ guy. He is a monster athlete and you can see it on the floor. I think he fouls a ton. I think LA's biggest issue was they just need shooting and some of those guys would look so much better... if you have spacing issues it will hurt the rim roller and pick and roll game a bunch.

Jones is a solid backup center.

I'd be happy to never seek Dok play again. Feel bad for his injuries, but he had plenty of time to figure things out, and he still looks lost. It is telling when two traded players look more comfortable in a "new" to them system than Dok does after a number of years.

I'm not sure he loves basketball to be honest. He is a good young man and I wish him well in whatever he choses to do. Not sure he is on the roster at season's end.
