I really enjoyed the competition until the dunk contest. I thought the changes to the skills contest were a lot of fun. And the 3-point contest has always been my favorite. But they really need to fix the dunk contest, including the annoying commentary.

The Currys long ad for their show was rather lame.

Seeing John Stockton in the crowd made me a little sad, because I can't love one of my favorite players in the same way. Maybe someday I'll quit seeing people through a COVID lens, but it's too soon.

That thing taking 15 minutes to start off the competition truly set the tone for how awful that was…. Then the green dunk took 25 minutes. Go back to like 1 or 2 attempts and if they can’t do it they done.


It was so so bad.

Maybe do categories. Do one assisted, one off the backyard, one from outside the restricted area, one from the baseline and one freeform. 2 chances to make each dunk. 24 second shot clock for both attempts each time. 24 second between dunk categories. So maximum 5 minutes for all dunks from each competitor. Must do all 5 categories during the contest at some time. 3 dunks reach round for each guy. Once you have done all categories you can choose. And maybe add a degree of difficulty or athleticism to the scoring.

5 competitors to start with.

1st round, 2 dunks each, drop 2.

2nd round, 3 guys, 3 dunks each, drop 1.

3rd round, 2 guys, 3 dunks. End.

Max 1 hour for the whole thing.

Idk, something needs to change.

Holy crust it pisses me off with this stupid attitude, let people feel the way they feel. You want the damn shot, get the damn shot!! You don’t want the damn shot, don’t get the damn shot.
