Fifty Ways to Leave Miami

Stifle Tower

Punch Bowl Re-Filler
With Lebron holding so many teams and players "hostage" until he makes his Decision 2.0, here's a video someone made. Absolutely hilarious, especially if you're old enough to remember the Paul Simon classic, "Fifty Ways to Leave Your Lover."

I still dont see it as his problem that everyone else is waiting..He SHOULD take his time and to hell with all the other teams or players who are holding their breath waiting on his choice..that is their problem...
But, anyway, funny video lol

Lebron isn't holding anybody hostage. They are choosing to be held hostage. This is like having a dude with a gun in a building and a bunch of people going in the building, asking the dude to hold them at gun point, him saying, "uh, you guys can go" and them saying "no thanks, we'll stay" then one of the people calling 911 saying they are behind held hostage.

One of the problems I have is he knows Bosh is trying to be a loyal friend/teammate. Bosh is willing to take a HUGE discount to return to Miami with James. Or, Chris can take the big contract with Houston. But the Rockets need to know by Sunday night whether Bosh is going to sign. Otherwise, they lose Parsons if they hold the cap space open. I just can't believe Lebron is still undecided and then all of a sudden is going to make up his mind. He's had a month to weigh pros and cons. He and his agent pretty much knew the parameters each team would be working under - and both have done exactly what what they said they would. Riley drafted Napier and has brought in what veterans he can given the need to hold cap space open for the Big 3. Cavs cleared off a max slot and supposedly are working on a Love trade - if that's what Lebron wants. Or James can play with Wiggins: his choice.

Hostage in the sense that some players and teams can't make moves until they see what LBJ is going to do. Can Miami sign 2nd-tier FA's? No. Well, I guess they could. But yeah, right. Riley is going to go out and get Ariza and then tell James and his fan base, "sorry, we just couldn't wait any longer" so I'm signing Trevor to take his place. I'm sure all of you understand why I did it, right?

How do you know Bosh is willing to take a big paycut to play with James in Miami?

Because Miami can't fit a 4yr/$88M deal under their cap like Houston can.
Unless, of course, Bosh is the one getting $22M in Miami and Lebron is going to play for $10-15M. Or maybe they both get paid and DWade re-signs at the vet minimum?

I think you miss my point. How do you know Bosh wants to go back to Miami for less just to play with James, rather than just sign a max contract with a very good Houston team?

Miami hasn't renounced their bird rights. They could sign all three to huge contracts. The other contracts they have agreed to this summer are designed to fit in under the exceptions. (I think.)

Because Houston has a max contract on the table for him and he hasn't signed it yet?

I didn't ask you the question, but if that's C4's response, that does answer the question - he doesn't know, actually has no effing clue and is just speculating.

You mean Bosh is trying to ride Lebron's coattails for longer? Because Bosh doesn't have the faith in himself to join a very, very good team, for max money? He needs to beg James to stay with a publicly announced allure of taking a pay cut?

Poor Chris Bosh.

Yeah this sounds unreal when Houston layed all the food on the table.

Maybe Bosh just doesn't believe in himself.

What are you Bosh, chicken? Ha buck buck ha buck buck bcuk!

I rarely agree with scorp, but in this case he's right. Nothing wrong with taking your own sweet time in making your decision official. FOs use the tactic all the time, and in some cases, I'm sure they are part of the player's decision. It's all part of making it harder for your competitors to improve.

Don't be dumb. The NBA is like a brotherhood and GM's don't do mean stuff like that. If you don't believe me, then your dumb.

....agreed, hilarious! But when everything is said and done, Lebron needs to be on a team with smart players, a coach who will be in control......and THEN comes athletic ability! We are saw what the Spurs did to all that "athletic ability" of the Heat team......they got thrashed, whipped and dismantled by the smarter, fundamentally sound team!
