Fire Snyder - Jazz +10 when Favors plays but Snyder yanks him out

Dude, he was taken out in the 1st quarter for rest, and again in the 2nd. Quin can't play top performing players 48 minutes a game. Believe it or not, he needs rest. His name is Quin Snyder, not Adolf Hitler. It's Basketball not a concentration camp.
LOL, no you're completely right. I totally agree they need a break to continue playing at the optimal level. But answer this, why does Favors NEVER close out games? Why did he not play at the end of the game last night when it was the starting but crowder for favors? When he's there the team is stronger.

I think what cost the jazz in this one was Rubios 8 turnovers... Jeebus it was like one after another right it critical moments. I wanted to choke him.

Right exactly and at those critical moments Favors was not in the game. When Favors is in the game the team passes better, spaces better, thus giving Rubio less of a chance to make a bad decision and turn it over.

Um, no. There is terrible spacing when Favors, Gobert and Rubio are on the court together.

Unfortunately Utah can only upgrade the 4 with a guy like Tobias, and that's probably only worth 1-2 wins - maybe 4 at most on the offensive side (probably closer to 2.5) and -3 to 4 on defense. Favors has that big of an impact on the game.

Tobias will cost too much and all the wiggle room just for two more wins.

We really need an upgrade at PG or SG if you move Mitchell to PG.

Also there are more options to get at those spots.

And to think Utah could be doing this with Derrick Rose right now, who they let go for nothing. .480/.390/.865, 18/4.7 for like 3 million on a short deal.

Lou William's is another cheap, great target. Who else is on the list? Kemba, Conley, Brogdan, Collison, Holliday, Bledsoe, Beal, Wall, Russell... plenty to chase after but it might mean making one big swing at that spot only.

Are you kidding me, Gobert should never even be considered. He acts like a little girl when he has the ball a few feet from the basket and forgets what to do.

This is the only thing that I agree with from your post. I got crucified a couple of months ago suggesting that Gobert NEEDS 1 post up move. Gobert acts like he isn't 7'2" when he is asked to do anything but finish a lob or get a putback.

He doesnt need a post up move. He doesnt have one and he is still one of the best players in the nba.

It would be nice if he had a post up game though.

averaging 15 points and 12 rebounds a game does not make you one of the best players in the nba. it makes you very average. that's 2nd unit kind of stats. with his size and stature the man should be averaging 25 points and 15 rebounds a game. he has no skill, no finesse, always looks out of control and surprised when he gets the ball. always in a rush. only thing he can do is dunk

That's not 2nd unit kind of stats. That's starter stats for sure. But I think I get what you are trying to get at.

Gobert is a great starter, but not really a star and definitely not a super star.

If we are going to take that next step into a contender, we need Gobert to be our 4th best offensive player while staying our 1st or 2nd best defensive player. Right now, he is probably our 2nd best offensive player which hurts us since he is offensively challenged.

Honestly I would rather have Joel Embiid, Nikola Jokic, Anthony Davis than Gobert. Gobert is a mediocre postgame away from being just as good as any of them.

All the stats you put up doesn't tell me that Gobert can get you 2pts when your team needs it.

Having someone in the MVP discussion > Gobert isn't controversial. Except maybe Embiid, that guy's an *******.
