What's new

First Round. Game 2. Jazz v Spurs. 5pm MST.

Anyone want to criticize Devin Harris for having 5 points and 1 assist tonight? He achieved in 23 minutes what Blake Ahearn achieved in 6.

Yes. Get with the program! Parker is whooping your butt! Also, it's true if Parker is going to do whatever he wants anyway why not let Ahearn show us those highly touted 3-pt shooting skills, we could use someone who can spread the floor and actually MAKE SHOTS!

Kanter and Favors played a COMBINED 36 minutes and out-rebounded our entire starting lineup.... ARRRGH! (Then again we played such abysmal defense there was not much to rebound from the Spurs 57% shooting!)

He improved his FTAs from zero in game one, to one in game two. One FTA in two games. The best part of his game is drawing FTAs while attacking at the rim. Instead of doing that, he's back to standing around and dumping the ball into the post, like he was at the beginning of the season... when he sucked.

those ******** at espn made fun of the jazz by a small clip in the 4 th quarter with 2:36 to go. bunch of ****in dicksuckers that can't even appreciate an overachieved team and young talent. we'll see in a couple of years.

kanter may have grabbed some boards tonight but overall he was just terrible.
people think al defends the pick and roll poorly?! man, kanter doesn't have a clue what's going on out there.

we need huge improvement defensively. their shooters are getting too much time.
no way should we have 4 guys collapsing on every single dribble penetration. that's on our players, not corbin.

we shot horribly tonight but the spurs are also doing a great job of taking the open looks away from us. they space well, rotate well, play the lanes, stay in front of their man and wait for us to turn it over or throw up a rushed shot.

this is both pride-giving and embarrassing at the same time:

It is much easier to "Space well, ratate well, play the lanes, and stay in front of your man, when there is little ball movement and the Jazz are throwing up crappy contested shots continually(I'm looking at you Jefferson and Howard).

As for Kanter. I think he is a ton better than Jefferson against the PnR. My problem with Kanter is he is afraid to pass the damn ball. The time when he caught the ball on the elbow at the top and stood there for 15 seconds looking for a pass was pathetic. 1st nobody came to bail him out and 2nd he refused to pass it to 3 different cutters. The only way he passes it from up there is if he can hand it off.

I was yelling so much that it made my kids go outside, kinda felt bad about that.

Just a reminder the Jazz with S&M got beat by worse in the Finals by the Bulls and the Jazz beat the Spurs in SA by around 30 in the S&M hay days.

Howard was the only starter in the 1st Qtr that didn't look completely useless (but still sucked) and in the 3rd Qtr looked like the worst ball hog I can ever remember on the Jazz. Doesn't matter what Corbin does when the Starters look and play that horrible there isn't an adjustment that can win the game but would've been nice to sit their butts on the bench or make them play the last 2-3min of the game to show yep you did this now live with this embarrassment.

I thought Corbin was just resting Favors for 1-2min when he took him out in the 2nd Qtr (he did it in game 1) and would bring him back in for Carrol sadly that didn't happen.

Yes as painful as this is to watch I am still glad they made the playoffs, I'd rather the Jazz play better obviously but they would be crapping themselves next year instead of this year (assuming they'd even make them next year) this is why it's called growing pains.

I had no visions of grandeur thinking the Jazz could win this series but they better sack up and piece together what pride they have and show up for these last 2 games.

I swear on my mother's grave that when it was 31-26 in the second quarter, and Jefferson came in, I said to myself "the Jazz aren't going to score and SA is going to go on a tear". No joke.

I believe you. I think a lot of people had a bad feeling at that point
