Jonny Flynn and 2nd Pick

For

Raja Bell, 3rd Pick, and cash considerations

This assures that the Jazz get Enes Kanter with the 2nd pick, and that trade that was rumored at the deadline last season finally goes through. Thoughts?

Don't think it'll happen, but I'd do it in a heartbeat.

No way this deal gets done. Minnesota needs to throw in Kevin Love and then we can talk.

Raja Bell, ridding your team of 3rd-year PG Johnny Flynn and $3 million in cash is definitely worth a 3-to-2 jump in a two-player draft.

I like Flynn and think that change would be the best thing for him. But with the Number 2 pick would we seriously take Kanter over Williams?

The other thing I like about this thread is that this is done to draft Kanter. I have a feeling that if both Kanter and Knight are at #3, the Jazz are still taking Knight. Maybe all of that changes when the Jazz see Kanter, but I doubt it.

In addition let's swap the rights to Rubio for Tomic.

I am just wondering how many people that are kanter lovers have watched the kid play at all. They hear kanter the next malone and they are all on board with this kid. Every year fans are sold on one person without even watching him play at all. I think after last years draft I will trust the jazz in who they draft before I put faith in what fans say.

Not dropping, just like he wasn't rising earlier. Perception is a funny thing. RT @Jonatansimon: Why is Kanter droping so fast in the mocks?

Weaknesses: One of the big concerns scouts have with Kanter is his physical health. He has had a history of knee problems and there are concerns about his knees not checking out 100% when he has NBA physicals … Foot speed is good but not at the level of some of the top inside forces in the NBA … Played one year of high school ball at Stoneridge Prep in Simi Valley, California and was somewhat inconsistent …

hope he isn't a Curtis Borchardt part two

not going to happen they already have their choice of Williams or Kanter and i think that they are leaning towards kanter so why take the risk that they Jazz are going to take Kanter? it doesnt make since

If I am not mistaken, someone on here said Givony didn't like Hayward either. These experts are never going to be 100% right. Chad Ford liked Darko. He also sees Kanter's seeing as a tougher Boozer with better defense. At least that's what he said in a podcast. It's tough to really know how things will turn out. I will pull for whichever players they go with.

I would hope he would play better D the boozer. Signing boozer will cost the bulls for many years to come and I doubt they will ever win a championship with him on the team..

Flynn will return more to Minny than just Raja.
Jazz needed cash from NJ --I doubt they have a pile laying around.
Minny may trade the 2nd pick, but it will be for more picks.

Who's to say he's wrong? Hayward played very well in the last few games of the season, but I'd like to see him do it over the course of a season before I declare that someone was right or wrong about him. He showed promise. Nothing more.

Also, regarding the "Bell to Minnesota" rumors, do you really think Minnesota called the Jazz and asked about Bell? I have to think that the "rumored" deal would have been something to the effect of Bell and future considerations (read: loosening or removing the restrictions on the draft pick owed them) to Minnesota for a future second round pick. Minnesota would likely have bought out Bell's remaining contract and that would have been that. I really doubt they were looking to acquire Bell as a player.
