Following 2016 potential draftees

I don't know if he is draft eligible, but I want this kid...

I still think the jazz best option this draft is to give away some draft assets (excluding 2017) and move up and draft murray. He seems like a #1 scoring ootion in the nba. He could play pg and play the 2 with exum. He is the type of player that can drop 30 or 40 on an opponent.

The last person to put up as many points, rebounds and assists as Simmons in a season was Larry Bird as a senior.

He is also the first person to ever be top 5 in points, rebounds and assists in a single season in SEC history since they stated recording assists in 1968. He also has the second most steals in the SEC.

Totally overated.

Ingram over his last 10 games is shooting 33% from 2 on 9 attempts per game and is shooting 35% on 14 attempts in total yet somehow he is rising lol.

Simmons is a special talent. It's been obvious since day 1. He's every bit as legit as Wiggins and Towns. If he ever develops his outside shot, he'll be unstoppable.

The things that have always worried me about Ingram are: 1) his ability to get to the rim and 2) his personality; just doesn't strike me as an alpha. He's got good potential though. I'd probably take him 2nd overall.

Is no one worried about Jamal Murray having an 8'1 standing reach as a NBA SG? He is nearly identical to Randy Foye in measurements (Murray has a inch more head height).

A little. Those measurements are the same as Curry's, too, though.

The all-time NCAA freshman single season record for 3pt made belongs to... Steph Curry.

Jamal Murray is on pace to break it.

I'd be down for this.

I wish he was longer or more athletic, but he still looks promising.

How many is he short?
Because I mean Jamal Murray has only 2 more games this season.

*9

I don't really believe that.. would guess 6 more games.
(3 in SEC tourney and 3 in NCAA)

He's short 22 makes off Curry's record.

6 in the tourney? This year's team? We'll see about that.

I hear ya. Our lack of a true post presence leaves us vulnerable every game. Our elite backcourt also makes every game highly winnable.

I said 3 games in the NCAA tourney... which would be Calipari's EARLIEST exit from NCAA play in 10 straight appearances (has made Elite 8 in 9 straight NCAA births).

OH I somehow read 6 in tourney, 3 in conference.

Also the earliest exit story is kinda iffy IMO, as it's disregarding the NIT year ;)
So ye, it's possible. Idk if it's likely that he'll break the 3 pointer record. Nice narrative to follow though.

This is exhausting.
Whatever.

Personally this year's NCAA tourney seems very uninteresting to me. Usually I have a couple teams/players that I really like to follow for different reasons. Not so much this year yet.
The player that has swayed me most to keep the stream open is Hield so far, but whenever they have an early game, someone else is having the biggest impact individually that night. Somehow anticlimactic.

This UConn vs Cincinnati game is pretty crazy. 10/10 on the drama scale. Also pretty watchable. Solid spacing from both teams.

Maybe that's a bad measurement?

Just for ****s and giggs, I looked at the standing reach for the better shooting guards in the league.

Wade: 8'6"
Harden: 8'7.5"
Derozan: 8'6.5"
Butler: 8'5.5"
Thompson: 8'7.5"
Wiggins: 8'11"
McCollum:8'0.5"

So he perhaps best compares to CJ. Food for thought. It's a legit concern. Does CJ blow on defense like Lillard does? That said, Exum, Hayward, Favors and Gobert are all above average. Hopefully Hood and Lyles improve...so having one shaky defender wouldn't be the end of the world.
