Following 2016 potential draftees

yo, Dr. Jones. do you know whats up with Dennis Smith's knee by chance?

Also; Is there any shot UK can get involved with T.J. Leaf or is he bound to the west coast?

I do think Leaf is slightly overrated at this point(He actually just got dropped to around where i'd have him pegged)... Entertaining player to watch though.

The Finnish player, Lauri Markannen, who's 100% AZ in 247's crystal ball really doesn't seem much worse, 247 jumped him from 100 to 16 in their latest rankings. I saw some of Markannen's games a few weeks ago and was very impressed, he's like a more mobile. Looks like a Rich mans Kyle Wiltjer, much more mobile/defensive potential and better at finishing thru contact.

Maybe I'm overthinking it and this is flawed logic; But, If Harry Giles commits to Duke and Chase Jeter stays for his sophomore year(or they land Bolden). Hows Duke a good landing spot for Wenyen Gabriel?? I'm missing something.

He'd play the Marvin Williams at UNC, first forward off the bench role??? Or they'd move Tatum to 2 and play Gabriel at 3?? That seems too unorthodox for Duke..

Good question. Gabriel is saying, publicly, he wants to play on the wing. My opinion is K tells him he will (and follows through) or the kid goes elsewhere.

Still seems like a log jam of minutes... Thornton-Kennard-Tatum-Giles-Jeter... Something's gotta give...

Flexing Tatum to play some 2 could clear minues, but that'd mean Matt Jones could get buried on the bench for his SR year(if Kennard returns).. Seems a lot like a platoon.

I hope these 2016 bigs start showing their hands soon. Other than Jarrett Allen and Texas... he can keep that to himself!!!

BTW this PG, Koby McEwen from Toronto, by way of Wasatch Academy in Mt. Plesant Utah, is severely underrated at 3 stars. he's 6'3 and very athletic. He reminds me a bit of Terry Rozier, haven't seen all that much, but he's legit for sure. Showed very well at the recent Addidas Nations camp (Same camp Exum skyrocketed his value at), and dropped a game high 25 points playing against Dennis Smith Jr.

If Harry Giles were to go to Wake Forest, which I still think there's a chance of. McEwen could end up there with him. I'd imagine dunking extraordinaire, Kwe Parker would be there too.

Of course they also had Maverick Rowan 100% to Louisville then about 100% to St Johns so this ball of crystal is not exactly a perfect predictor.

Whatever happened to that French PG Westermann who injured his knee? I guess he was a 2nd-rd prospect before his injury.

Yeah, it's basically a glorified version of the children's game telephone.

They do track the experts accuracy though, and its time-stamped, so I'd challenge anyone to come up with a better method to go about doing that sort of thing. It's no simple task. A whole lot of misdirection going on from many factions all at once. Jerry Meyer adds a shred of credibility to it, and he's far from their most accurate expert.

Its of use to me in a news feed type of sense, when there's a flurry of predictions there's usually coinciding rumors; Like former Jazz legend Mo Williams pushing Terrance Furgeson towards Alabama.

In the case of Markannen, he's cut his list down to 3 schools; Utah, Arizona and UNC, He's definitely eyeing the NBA so I just think it stands to reason Arizona is a logical choice.

.. Peeks didn't answer, which im taking as a a strong probably. I keep hearing today that Dennis Smith might have his ACL though.. which is a damn shame if true..

If Markannen had any brains it is clear where he should go.
