Never apologize for being a prick.
I'm starting to like you. I must be an idiot.

As hard as Dala is riding it, just remember I started the Bembry bandwagon.
Of course the big difference being that Ridy and Kristaps were playing against grown men in a professional league. Skal was playing against his peers. Hard to compare Euro and Americsn prospects in that regard.
you always gotta go all-in with one athlete a year, dog. If Bembz is ur guy, i'll ride shot-gun.
I just followed college 0% this year. Was super busy, and following the Jazz took enough time out of my hands. Didn't watch more than 10 straight minutes of NCAA hoop this season.
We have a guy with inside info who says it is largely a mental thing with Skal. Doesn't that scare you at all? I agree he has immense potential, but if Peeks tells me a UK player is a complete *****, then I'm not going to just brush that off, especially when his stats spell out *****, as well. I'm normally all for going for the home run pick, but Skal scares the hell out of me.Still, my point stands - I'm not saying this is the case with Skal, but in a LOT of situations bigs lacking pure physical strength are mistaken to lack toughness and fight, when the problem is not with their will to compete but with their bodies not being ready for it.

Fair enough. I guess I just don't find it as mediocre as you do, so I don't feel the need to take a chance on a guy like Skal.Yes, it worries me a bit, but he(PKM) also says he has the talent to be a superstar in the league and also says he won't be disappointed if we drafted him. I'm not disputing that he's probably the most busty player we can take. All I'm saying is that whatever small chance there is he will figure his **** out is worth taking over the general mediocrity of this draft.
I think the Jazz are going to try to trade 12, a future first and TB3 to move up to 8. This is a good year to do it.
Cherry picking some highlights. He doesn't work as hard as he should on defense. He doesn't go after every rebound like he should. It looks like he's taking it easy and coasting sometimes, but the potential is pretty obvious. Keep in mind, his family is back in Haiti and needs the money. His one priority has to be to go pro and get paid. The one thing he can't do is get injured and put things on hold. I'd be interested to know if this is coming out in interviews and if the Jazz are working him out. As it stands DX thinks he's gone before the #12 pick.
All I'm saying is that it's worth the risk at 12.

If he was a senior, then I'd worry heavily over this. As a freshman he could grow out of it. I've seen it a bunch. When I think of Thon I'm reminded of the Greek freak. Thon is a fleet of foot 7footer can handle it and shoot it some and seems to have a strong attitude and very fluid for a 7footer. He could take a couple years to figure it out though.I'd like the Jazz to do another home run pick like they did with Dante Exum, but this time it'd be with Thon Maker. He's got the makings of a very good player, I know it. We'll address are real needs via free agency. This draft, the Jazz need to address our future and that future as funny as is sounds is Thon Maker. I know he's got his weakness and flaws, so does every draft prospect.

You guys are acting as if the alternatives are some world beaters and that they aren't likely to bust. There aren't any top level prospects in this draft past top 3-4.
For who?
This draft is weird, several players that are at 8 today could easily be at 12 next week.
