Very solid showing from Diamond Stone last night vs UConn, re-watching it now. He and Trimble really got MD off to a running start, while UConn was still trying to feel things out.
Melo Trimble has some really good eyes(peripheral vision) and court awareness. Often times these days you'll see players turn their heads a split second after they pass - to make it look fancy, Trimble's no-look passes have more substance to them, than that, he uses his eyes to freeze defenders, and he's got the strength and body control to contort his body and wait for the last second to shoot or pass.
- Poor showing for most of UConn. Daniel Hamilton recovered a bit in the 2nd half, he was stymied in the first though. I'm starting to have my doubts he can recover his value to the 1st round.
- Gonzaga vs Montana was a 3 pt game?!
- SMU mops Michigan, Duncan Robinson leads UM in scoring, in 22 minutes off the bench. He's still shooting well over 50% from 3. 1-13 and 0-6 from 3 for Caris Lavert..
-6'5" Senior SG for Miami, Sheldon McClellan continues to shoot over 50% from 3 also. He might be a superior prospect to Malcolm Hill(Illinois) who's been mentioned on the last few pages.
- Michael Gbinije is definetly getting drafted in the 2nd, despite his age. Tyler Lydon really stuffs the stat sheet, damn good find by Cuse he's a 1st round pick.

No Karnowski so Gonzaga down to only 3 good players. Wiltjer, Sabonis, and Perkins. No depth at all. Montana also has Grizzlies.

Well if things go as they stand and Philly gets #1 and takes Simmons and gets their players in they would have Saric/Noel/Okafor/Embiid/Grant up front. Of course good chance one of them gets traded but 4/5 spots would be crowded. Covington does play the 3 but could also play the 2 so I would say Philly would want Simmons at the 3. Then if Lakers could actually win a couple of games they could have 4th-5th pick for their PG. (Dunn/Murray).
But he played the majority of his career at the 3. I never said Simmons can't play the 4 but I think he can impact the game more as a 3.

Rings as a PF.
Teams always go small in the playoffs. Draymond played the C when they won the ring this year. He's not playing the 5 in the regular season, it's not sustainable.
Simmons could play the 4 or the 5 in the playoffs too depending on the match-up, but during the regular season I'd play him at the 3.

Those title Heat teams were definitely at their best with LeBron at the 4, and I suspect Simmons will be the same way. Plus, Simmons has a much more advanced post game than LeBron did at this stage. LeBron didn't start developing a post game until he lost to the Mavs in the Finals.

I'm skeptical of Ingram as a top pick. I don't see the mentality/demeanor of a star. And it seems like he has a hard time getting to the rim; not sure he's super equipped to create his own shot.
Simmons is still #1 on my board, and Skal is #2. That has never changed, and I don't expect it to. After that, I'd probably take a chance on Bender third overall.

He's great at creating his own shot, when he spins in the lane he creates ample separation. You'll see!! He's got a mentality of an older more unselfish player IMO, great patience and advanced shot selection, he's big-time. He's got a great first step and he's great at setting it up with fakes. He's a much better prospect than Marvin Williams ever was, especially off the dribble. I also think he's a better prospect than Hayward, and Giannis.

I'll keep an eye on him. He has a nice jab step to create separation, but in all the clips I watch he never seems to get all the way to the rim and finish through traffic.

Trey Burke is now above 10 FGA's per game. I have my doubts the Jazz will prioritize a PG in the 1st round for a number of reasons.
I'd say right now their trending toward drafting some sort of C or a wing in the 1st.
