Following 2016 potential draftees

Louisville bigman CHINANU ONUAKU is out of the draft. Was projected a late first early second round pick. He was diagnoised with a heart issue at teh combine. He had surgury today.

Chad Ford :Tough news for Onuaku. Glad Combine doctors caught it. Had moved up into a bubble 1st rounder with play at Combine
Correction. He is staying in the draft.

Scouts must be all over Mega Leks. 3 potential first round picks on that team. Luwawu, Zagorac, and Zubac. May even be 2nd rounders on the team as well. Also had a bunch of guys drafted the last two years including Jokic.

I think Thon will go higher than most are projecting.
I would take him at #12.

Too much upside.

He could be an ELITE shot blocker, rebounder, and has nice probability of a stretch 5.

YES! I really don't get why people as so low on him. I'd totally get him at 12. A good development staff can do wonders with him... he has all the required physical tools and athleticism.

On the flip side, I'm not really understanding the Bender hype. He's not that long, not terribly athletic, just an okay shooter... I'm not seeing a top 3 pick.

I am interrupting your regularly scheduled draft talk to remind everyone of this:

I think Gobert misses Exum more than anyone else on the team.

There's also a lot of untrust from NBA teams and the players + their agents. Teams telling all the players that they are interested in them. Agents lying about different things. Players feeling scripted in interviews etc.

DX's combine coverage has been lacking this year. No interviews at all, they must have took away some of his privileges.

Doubt that is the case at all. They had a month of time before the draft. They probably going to release interviews and more breakdowns as the weeks pass. No point in blowing your content load right out the gates.

rewatching this video - it's amazing how many granades Exum actually converted. There must have been about 20-30 shots in this video alone where he gets the ball with less than 3 seconds on the clock.

Had a similar thought last summer when I watched that video. That whole thing is "aggressive" Dante and if the Jazz can get him to be aggressive like that 5 or 6 times a game it will open things up for everyone.

TV broadcasters know next to nothing about the NBA Draft. I just saw a guy (forget his name) on SC suggest that if Boston gets the #1 pick they should take a guy that contribute right away... like Buddy Hield.

Lmao

Yes that is a funny thing to say but as the case with a team like Boston( A playoff team who is getting a lottery pick) you could grab the guy that can contribute right away. The Thing is Ainge would trade out of the 1 and get his guy if that was the case plus more future picks

Sooo dumb. Simmons will be better next year and in the long run. The old school dudes need to get off TV with their guys should stay four years and the NBA is diluted. It's a tired act.

NBA is diluted however. It is no act. Simmons couldn't even get his team to the NCAA tournament and he had other nba players on his team. I think Simmons could end up being just average. I do not seem him being a leader and number 1 option.. Id take Ingram number 1

Will Simmons be a #1 option? Doubtful. Will he be incredibly impactful and be a star player? I think so.

Worst case scenario you have a good rebounding point forward.

Simmons is super low risk.
He will rebound, defend, and get to the line A LOT.

I'm mostly concerned about his tude, tbh.

He also can create for teammates. He's a very good passer. I think his shooting is the key to him becoming a true super-star in the league and here's where his attitude comes into play. I am not sure he will have the determination to work on his shot and fix it ...

I can't think of a 1/2 that was this close. Howard/Okafor was super close if I remember right.
