Following 2016 potential draftees

Thon Maker worked out in front of 25 NBA teams in NY and 1 NBA exec said he "performed well enough to be an interesting [1st-round] pick"

...

Not exactly a ringing endorsement but better than he is trash.

To me it seems like the start of the ascent through people's boards, because he was being projected as a second round pick before that workout. He's working out with the Jazz tomorrow. It probably is his first workout for a team.

Hope I'm wrong, but I've never been less interested in a draft.

It would be nice knowing that the Jazz were the first NBA team to jump on Thon Maker for a workout. It shows their keenly interested in him as a draft prospect.

If a GM loves him I doubt they will shout it out to everyone... they will want to keep his stock low if possible. I think someone gets intrigued and takes him in the late teens early 20s.

I'm hoping the Jazz stay at #12 and take their highest rated player, then package Burke, 2nd round picks and cash to move up for a swing at a potential home run that falls into a reasonable range.

Give me Korkmaz or Luwawu early and then any of Labissiere, Zizic, Stone, Maker, Qi or Sabonis later on. Have them both practice with the team (when in town), but play their whole rookie season with the Stars. Best possible scenario is to have Quin and Co. develop them, but give them good minutes and key roles out on the floor in a way that doesn't hurt the team if/when they struggle. Add P3 in the offseason and I think you could end up with a couple of really solid developmental prospects ready to contribute 2-3 years from now.

Guessing Luwawu must be injured he did not play today. Have not seen any type of injury report though so must not be to serious.

No Maker?

dalamon, Sam Vecenie had a mock you would love.

Utah takes Valentine #12 for Denver, who trades us #15 and #19.

15: Wade Baldwin
19: DeAndre Bembry

Me so horny

Exum-Baldwin-Mack-Neto-Burke
Hood-Burks
Hayward-Bembry-Ingles

Too cluttered.

One key wing. One key big. No more for me through the draft unless they're 2nd round cross your fingers guys or draft n stash. Because even if we are only counting the bold-printed names, there's still not nearly enough time to go around IMO.

Exum(26)-Baldwin(10)-Mack(12)
Hood(22)-Burks(26)
Hayward(30)-Hood(8)-Bembry(10)

I don't know, I guess that could work maybe.

Trade Burks, Baldwin is a 1/2. Bembry bumps Ingles down, everything works.

Finally got around to watching some of blossomgame footage and if he is over his injuries wow he could be a steal.

The more i look at the middle of this draft the more i want the jazz to trade down.

There are a few players i really like.

So much is riding on the return of Exum. If he is healthy and strong that seals up a huge question mark.

I wish we had a crystal ball to see into his future. We have to assume the best, and hope he is 100% next year.
Baldwin is an exciting possibility though.
