Following potential 2012 draftees

Oh one more thing, Doug McDermott is not a SF in the NBA. He's an under-sized PF...yes he shoots a good percentage from 3, but it's all spot up shots and generally only when he's open. He has performed very well, maybe a better Eduardo Najera IMO. Not that big of a fan.

Wow, people are starting to see what I've been pushing for the last moth or so on Marshall. Just think how much faster Favors, and Kanter will progress if we draft Marshall.

Another player I'm starting to notice is Bradley Beal, he reminds me of Eric Gordon. I think you could play both him and Burks as the same time.

Beal is a stud if he's hitting 3's.

In our defense, Marshall didn't start to score until recently. That's been the reason people are picking up on him now, we all knew he was a phenomenal passer, but him showing that he has the ability to score is huge for him. Without that, I still don't think he would succeed.

Good point, his scoring has even surprised me over the past few weeks.

I just worry that he is a one hit wonder. A few games a season does not make.

Don't leave me hanging ..

I have turned the corner on Marshall. To be honest, I was not high on him in the first round, period, in the pre-season. I now think he's worthy of a flyer around 13'ish .. and he COULD be great!

That was my best yoda impression. The guy is sill a sieve on defense. He still has a broken shot. And has no first step to speak of. Would I complain if we drafted him no but I think lillard has more upside.

FYI i would rather not draft a pg instead bring in more talent at other positions and then bring in a pg via free agency. I do not consider rivers a pg but a combo guard.

Been saying that since I was knee-high to a grasshopper.

Lillard has more upside for sure. I kinda like the idea of a Lillard/Barnes draft, now that I think about it. Solves our shooting problems, and we get the positions we need.

I know we're talking Barnes, but what makes us think he'll 'be there?'

You mean...what makes me think we'll be in a position to draft him? Well, with two lottery picks, Al, Millsap, and Harris, I think we have a legit possibility to move up in the draft, if there's someone KOC is really crazy about.

If our picks stay where they are, then I'm still down for Miller and either Lillard or Marshall (or just BPA).

Hope that's what you were asking. If not, let me know lol.

Yeah, that answers it. I honestly don't see us doing anything that moves us up. I think we'll have two picks between 9 and 13. Good stuff there.

I think we have the assets to move up, but you're probably right. I'm fine with that though, there's plenty of talent where we're drafting.

So you know, I think our *so-called-assets* are well worth moving up. Just don't think we will.

To cite DX, he's Ryan Gomes.

Call me a fan-boy, but a big reason Kendall Marshall hasn't been effective on offense is because he hasn't tried to be. I think his #1 enemy was not not being aggressive on offense.

When you have such a great skill as he does setting other people up, it's easy to defer. He has to make a concentrated effort to balance his talents with some offensive game, and that is going to take some getting use to.

Stockton had the same issues in Utah. I often felt if he wanted to he could've been a 20 point scorer if he really wanted to.
