What's new

Following potential 2012 draftees

I do remember that. That is the why I was salivating over the thought of K-G on the Jazz guarding Durant, Kobe, Westbrook or any number of great scorers on opposing teams.

Imagine that, only with Favors holding down the paint at the same time :)

I saw a questionable call against Sidney, then a ridiculous blocking foul against an Arizona player. The only two plays I've seen that were highly questionable. I'd say it's even.

Also, Bost has impressed me this year. After last year I thought he had no chance at an NBA career, but I could see him as a 2nd round pick or undrafted FA. He could easily be a backup PG for someone.

I agree. Bost was nuts to declare early, but I think he has a future. Solid player.

Impressed by MSU. Great defense and great play from the freshman PG, outplaying a top ranked Freshman PG recruit on AZ (Isiah Turner).

All UK players looking good against Penn St. (hold the tasteless jokes).

UK's length on defense is mind-boggling. At the half, Penn St is shooting 5.9% from 3 and 16.7%overall FG.

vs. 67% from 3 and 56% overall ... 32pt halftime lead.

Watched most of the game. Defense is stifling. Teague is still sucking though.

Yeah. I started the season concerned about Teague. I'm FAAAAAR from having thrown in the towel, but showing me nothing as a floor leader. He may be the 5th best floor leader on the team.

Today's stats;

Lamb - 28 minutes; 26pts, 4rbs, 2asts, 1stl (8 of 13, 3 of 6 three's, 7 of 7 from the line)
Wiltjer - 28 minutes; 19pts, 2rbs, 3asts (6of12, 2of5, 5of6)
Jones - 24 minutes; 15pts, 9rbs, 5asts, 1stl, 1bk (6of8, 1of2, 2of4)
Teague - 23 minutes; 9pts (on 3of3from3), 1rb, 2asts, 2blks, 1stl
Davis - 23 minutes; 3pts, 6rbs, 2asts, 3blks
Gilchrist - 19 minutes; 9pts, 3rbs, 1bk, 2stls (4of5, 1of2 from 3)

Lamb now has 2 TO's in 83 minutes of play, against 13 assists and is hitting barely under 60% from three.

I'm sure everyone's got their opinions, but Dan Issel was interviewed about the lockout and other related topics, but he said he believes we'll have no season and he strongly believes that the age limit will go up. If that's the case, then I'd be just fine missing this draft and striking gold in 2013.

They will still have a draft most likely, even if there is not a season. AKA we are screwed. At least we can still get Kendall Marshall.

Marquis Teague looks like Urkel to me.

Also saw DX has Arnett Moultrie as a mid 2nd round pick in this year's draft. I hope he stays at MSU an extra year, but he is a rebounding beast and a hard worker, and at 6'11 has legitimate NBA size. Could be a good pick up as a Millsapian backup PF.

Might be time to put D.Lamb ahead of Teague in the mocks. Cold eyed killer from long range.

We play lights out with Lamb at point .. unguardable. Lamb = 60% from 3. Miller = 44% from 3. Gilchrist = 40% from 3. Jones = 38% from 3. All can drive and dish.

Issel is obviously connected, but it's all negotiation-speak .. so grain of salt.

Moultrie is one of the FEW that can benefit from coming back. I think he will.

Maybe, but if the NBA passes the rule were you have to spend 2 years in college, Moultrie could become a potential late first/early 2nd.

Obviously they'll have the draft. Well maybe it's not that obvious as who knows when they'll get a CBA done, but if they do have the draft and the age limit goes up, then it might not be so bad if we don't have any 1st rounders this year.
