Following potential 2012 draftees

Didn't a lot of people think Derrick Williams couldn't play sf? I can see him playing both positions. I don't think he would be an all world defender at sf, but I think he could hold his own. Think of the matchup problems he would create at sf playing along side Favors and Kanter, but I could be wrong.

Williams is a good deal quicker than P.Jones. At 6'11 I just don't see Jones being able to move his feet fast enough to guard the perimeter.

FYI, the ESPN Lotto Mock Draft has been updated.

Lillard and Miller for the Jazz with Jones being picked after Lillard to the Suns.

I'd be very happy with a Miller/Lillard draft. But I don't see how you could pass on PJIII at #10 (or Miller for that matter).

Baylor's defense pretty much blows and I want no guys who don't bust their *** on that end of the court so their guys, and PJIII most of all, isn't doing a lot to wow me, especially after a crappy freshman year. Mediocre collegiate defense, mediocre shooting for a 3/4 tweener. Call him a 4, fine. Either way. Mediocre rebounding with that athleticism and length. Mediocre shot blocking given that length and athleticism. Mediocre free throw shooting. He's a poor man's Michael Beasley without the perimeter shooting. Again, no thanks. Kid's got a world of talent and done nothing remotely close to standing out. That's not good.

nmh.

Beasley is pretty good. I would take a poor man's Beasley (assuming he doesn't have the same selfish mentality).

And how many Baylor games have you watched?

all of it. I'd be happy .. but still be questioning passing on the Baylor bros.

I was thinking the same thing. If PJ3 is available with the first pick then take him. If the Suns take Lillard then so be it. Then draft Miller or Rivers in that order depending on who is available.

Believe it or not, I loved what I saw from Jae Crowder tonight. Complete player. Genius-level smarts, strong as an ox.

Cautious yep. He's slow laterally, not particularly athletic (from what I can tell) .. but a get-it-done kinda guy. Workhorse.

Edit: Oh, and yeah, very high BB IQ. Minimal mistakes on either side of the ball.

I tried to watch him, but he was on the bench the whole time from foul trouble whenever I tuned in.

Hence, "believe it or not". He had a rough game, and Marquette's game-plan was total crap. But he just plays winning ball. Knows his angles (allows him to double with minimal gambling), and despite having foul trouble, has a good sense of where to draw the line. Great court vision on both sides of the ball. Sees a play before it happens. Intense.

No guarantee of what level of success he'll have in the NBA, but any team will be fortunate to take a flier on him.

I wonder what you are all going to say when miller withdraws from the draft. I am telling you take a close look at Jeff Taylor. He might be the bsfa

Taylor is a guy I like, as we've discussed. But I don't see him being BSFA in the lottery. No disrespect to what he could bring to a team, any team, but he's not lottery in this draft.
