Following potential 2012 draftees

IMO you don't gamble with lotto picks an that's what Perry Jones is because if Jones wasnt a gamble, he'd be a top 3 pick.

That's why this isn't an exact science. It's also a "gamble" to make the safe pick as a GM, letting someone else take the talented kid that has question marks.

Hey, I'm still saying if there was a gun to my head I wouldn't know who to pick between PJ and TJ. I'm taking either over Miller though, all day.

That depends on what criteria you are using. If you are using college performance he is a gamble. If you are using physique and athletic measurements, he is the sure thing.
Both ways have been equally unreliable.

You would take Tyler Zeller, TZ.

I honestly couldn't tell you who I would either. Are you a gambler? TJones is the safe bet and PJ is the potential homerun and potential strikeout looking.

I'm a bit of a gambler, but right now my gut is telling me TJ will be better...who knows, my gut will probably change 20 times before the draft and then we won't end up taking either of them anyway, lol.

OT? Highly likely.

I thought maybe you were going to tell us about a sign from God telling us who we should draft.

No doubt it doesn't belong. I've just had several PM's with others from this thread that may find it interesting. (No one trying to convert me, btw .. lol)

With this draft, I don't think we should "play it safe." We have solid players at every position, and this is our last best chance to swing for a top-drawer talent. I'd be okay with PJIII with the thinking being that T. Jones, although a safer pick, probably isn't a better player than Millsap when it's said and done, despite the fact that he's an inch or two taller and probably a better defender. I even think Harrison Barnes would be a conservative pick for us. I'd like to see us go for one of the Baylor guys and get a PG.
