Following potential 2012 draftees

Marshall. I'm convinced that Favors needs a pure PG. Marshall will complete The Five. PKM seems sure there isn't a good pure PG coming out in a while.
I don't like Barnes' BBIQ from the games I've seen of him.

Yes. There is no obvious pure point anywhere in the future. I have NEVER seen that before.

Sounds too scary to be true, but I'll take your word for it right now.

All the decent PG's are combos. One thing that should be pointed out is that the game of basketball is progressing toward positionless bb. Teams are more concerned with putting 5 guys on the court that are long, athletic, can dribble, shoot, pass, rebound, and defend. Just get the biggest guys you can that can do everything.

I think PGs always emerge, but I don't think the 2013 emerging PGs will end up leading the nation in scoring or breaking any major assist records.

So question.. if you had one pick and had to choose between the following players, who do you take?

Marshall
QMiller
Barnes
PJones3
Lillard

Barnes with out even batting an eye lash. He is just what the doctor ordered. In the flex offense Barnes is going to be a decent player

For me it's really Barnes vs. Marshall. Tough call. I'd rather have Barnes, but I think in a couple years we'll see 30 teams fighting over 10 PG's.

I am still hesitant on Marshall. With that being said, Marshall>Barnes everyday.

I think if you can draft Barnes, you can trade your way to Marshall-ville and pick up some things along the way, even though it's risky.

Barnes for me. I remember us all cursing his name last year when he decided not to enter the draft. Especially when we moved up.

I'm taking Marshall if he's available. If Barnes is still on the board, as well, then I'd consider him. Otherwise, I'm sold that Marshall is our guy.

I have to say, I also would not be shocked if we targeted Lillard over Marshall. I find Lillard and Harris to be sort of similar actually, but Lillard would obviously be cheaper and have more upside. I also think Harris is pretty tradable after this season. He's finished it fantastically.

Also, if Harris continues to improve his shooting, he could be moved to SG in some lineups if we go after Marshall or Lillard.

I'm still not 100% sold on Barnes. I'd like to see him become a natural scorer as well as a shooter, a more versatile player. But there's no question that his shooting stroke would put pressure on the defense and space the floor for Favors and Kanter.

I go back and forth on Marshall vs. Lillard, but I'd take Marshall if he can become an adequate shooter. I just look at the Bulls and think how much better a team they'd be if D.Will were the point guard instead of Rose. I know Rose is an elite scorer, but D.Will would make Deng, Korver, Boozer, Brewer and Noah much more effective. Marshall has that ability to move the ball. He needs to be more of a driver and scoring threat to give that passing more credibility, but I think he can probably do it.

Edit: If I had to choose between Marshall and Barnes, I would probably go with Marshall. Hopefully we can find a way to get both.

That could also work. I just meant that I think Harris could net at the VERY LEAST a late first coming back since he is expiring and a nice player.
