Following potential 2012 draftees

The Harrison Barnes I watched definitely dominated the ball, not sure what you're talking about.

In the games I watched he seemed like he scored pretty efficiently, mostly with jab steps and jump shots. I have to concede that he takes a lot of shots though. But hey, what do I know.

Not at all. Was just curious how the board feels, at this point, about those players. Judging by the repsonses it went;

1) Marshall
2) Barnes/Lillard
3) everyone else

I would put Miller at the Lillard/Barnes level. I would also have Rivers at that same level but maybe at the front.

I wouldn't say Barnes dominated the ball that much. Him, Henson, and Zeller all averaged around the same # of shot attempts per game. The only thing I really don't like about him are his assist numbers, but his role on the team was to shoot the ball when it was given to him for the most part.

He managed to get to the FT line more this year and improved his catch and shoot, and those were the two huge things I wanted to see be improved his freshman to sophomore year.

I still say he is Luol Deng with a little less defense and a little more offense.

I'd take Barnes first and would immediately get queezy that I didn't take Marshall .. but that's my order.

They should come in a package deal. I would still be surprised if Barnes last to 8. I could see a team like Toronto taking Barnes first.

I think Miller has top 10 potential, but there are others with top 10 potential that are better players.

I just wonder, are Marshall & Lillard really better than Miller talent wise?!?! I know they are expected to go higher due to a lack of PG crop this year, but if we don't consider that fact, I just wonder where Miller would rank...

Would have to define talent. Athletically or just goos at bb? I think Miller has the most upside and the most bust potential. I'd take Marshall first, I think .. but all 3 are pretty even in my book.

I would consider taking Miller over Lillard. The only reason to take Miller over Marshall is if Miller turns himself into an Allstar, and right now I don't think so. Marshall would improve the entire offense and make Favors into a much better player. I think Marshall makes this offense much more efficient. His skills are team oriented, and that's jazz basketball.

Reddick.

Not a real comparison, but I do see some decent similarities.

It's Redick damnit.

Yeah, except that Rivers isn't half the shooter Reddick is and will never be.

In all honesty, it's a pretty bad comparison. About the only similarities they have are that they can shoot and everybody hated them. Redick is a much more pure shooter than Rivers, but has an average handle at best right now. Playing styles are no-where similar, maybe their attitudes are, but I don't like the comparison.

What concerns me with Miller is, ever since his jr year in HS, he's been described as a kid with extreme upside .. and maybe 'next year' he'll assert himself, work hard, and put it all together. I've been thinking he would for 3 years now, but I'm growing weary whether the kid cares enough.

His growth may have been slowed by the injury and the recovery thereof?

With Miller we'll have 2, 3, 4, 5 locked for the next 5 years all with very good length. His 3pt shooting can't hurt..

Harris is improving his game may be he would sign on cheaply after the next season? Say around $5mil? The question is are Marshall/Lillard good enough to be our PG of the future or do we settle with just a vet.
