I would be absolutely thrilled. As a canuck, I have a slight soft spot for the Raptors. Good announcers, nice coach, nice team. Id love to see a team of Bargnani, JV, Davis, and a player like MKG if they nailed a 2nd or 3rd pick.

Pretty lacklustre year for Davis. I am curious to see how a 4/5 tandem of JV and Andrea would do. They seem to superficially compliment each other well. A player like MKG would makes Toronto such a better team
 
Worst case scenario for this season was accomplished: 0 draft picks, 8th playoff spot, and didn't give the young core enough playing time to develop. I hope everyone on the "8th playoff spot" side of the argument is happy.

Take a step back bro. Hayward played a lot. Favors got 22 minutes of burn which is a little less than he should get but not God awful. Kanter saw about the amount of time he should have and Burks wasn't exactly glued to the bench. We really couldn't have hoped for much better than this. And getting that Warriors pick is not yet out of the question.

I agree

I was thinking along the lines of spycam at the beginning of the season. I thought this would have been the worst case scenario, but I am good with it now. I like our chances in the playoffs. I love this team and I an excited about what they have grown into. A big part of that I think is that Bell isnt playing. I really hated the way things were going with him playing.

Who cares if we dont get a pick this year anyways. Shortly we will be facing contract situations with our young four anyways. It might be a good thing to space out these contracts so we dont have to give up on young guy before we know about how good they are.

Calm down, Chickenlittles. Stern loves drama. If the Warriors were slotted 8th it would suck for us because it'd be a set up for them to jump into the lottery. Classic positive/negative storytelling. For now the W's got a positive plot point while the Jazz got a negative one. Come lottery the W's get their negative plot point, and the Jazz get their positive one. It's basic storytelling structure. Stern doesn't even bother making things believable - he just loves the drama.

Someone will leapfrog the W's. Jazz will pick 8th. or 9th (I'm not sure of all the potential storylines of teams 8-14).
